Roboform saves all your information on your computer, name, address, age, birthday, etc. You decide what you want it to save. Then when you go to sign up for a survey site or a freebie you just click once and everything is filled in for you. This is a great time saver and takes all the tediousness out of signing up: www.roboform.com/dist/affs/AiRoboForm-river.exe

I have heard that there is a way to get roboform free after the 30 day trial. Does anyone here know how? I'm having a hard time justifying to DH why I want to pay the fee just to make forms easier.

I wish I had an answer but I don't... I know for me, the cost is worth the time that I would waste filling in each blank but I sign up for a ton of freebies everyday.

Thanks anyway, Connie. I'm sure I'll get it across to him sooner or later.

I had RF until I switched to using Yahoo AutoFill or the Google equivalent - almost the same fill capacity and less intrusion when signing in on a new page. e

Thanks Ed.. I use yahoo and google autofill for things like name and address but I use roboform for everything else... it stores age, income, and all that other stuff.. maybe google will too? I just fill safer with roboform for the nitty gritty stuff.
Not to mention the gazillion user names and passwords! LOL.. google and yahoo don't keep all those in mempory.

Does Yahoo have an autofill? I can't find it. Also Yahoo questions makes it sound like there is none. Just wondering. I use a freeware program for some of my needs but half the time I forget to use it.

I haven't seen one for yahoo.. I use the one for google and it's great for simple things but no where near as powerful as roboform.

Yahoo used to have Autofill in the good old days, it was a menu button on their toolbar. However, people found it useful, so it was removed. Not really, there were a lot of people concerned about what information was being saved, so it just went away one day. Internet Explorer has autofill options under Tools >> Internet Options >> Content >> Auto Complete - Just click the options you want. The Google Toolbar has an Autofill option. Roboform is nice, but there is a fee to license your copy (after the free trial ends). If you rob a bank, you can also get a free trial. There are other form fillers out there - I haven't researched them in detail as the Internet Explorer and Google work fine for me. There are some sweepstakes sites that protect against automated entries, or state automated entries will be invalidated. I am not sure if that applies to Roboform or the sweepstakes companies that do mass entries for their members who pay. If I'm entering a sweepstakes for one of these, I just type my info in the Smith-Barney way.

just an update here I went and downloaded RoBoform without paying anything They have a RoBoformPro that you must pay for but the basic - they asked for no money. It really is blessing not to have to remember all the passwords. So did I miss the fine print am I going to have to pay after a certain time?cuase I saw no word on that.

I believe it's based on the number of passwords stored. I think the free version lets you store a certain amount but then you need to upgrade if you want to store more. That's how it was when I signed up.
