Well, here we are looking at the end of July. This summer is flying by! Pretty soon the kiddies will all be heading back to school and then can the cold weather be far behind? Lord, how time flies when you're either having fun or not looking, take your pick!

I desperately need a vacation. I only get 2 paid days off this summer. Not enough time to rest. I need a new life. #chickendance#

We are going to my nieces wedding this weekend. Im looking forward to it but dh and I have BOTH had upset tummies the past two days. Today is the worst for me.. I wish I could just lay down but have a baby and the katiebug to take care of.
The good news? Katie is going swimming at 1 and shortly after that the babies grandma is coming to get her for some fun.. maybe then I can lay down.

Jan,
It's great to see you. I've not been on the games boards in such a long time. I haven't bowled in years. I used to belong to a league, but it's been over 5 years now.
Again, it's great to see you.

Thanks Audrey! Don't get much of a chance to spend time here on the boards, but I usually sign in as often as I can but don't spend much time here. Hubby has me hopping with other things. Sure is nice to talk with you again.

I post but I don't usually come here on this board anymore So my younger daughter is living overseas. It's been interesting for me. She's learning a lot about living which was my hope for her. She does call home which is great. We are considering a move. CA is just so expensive.

A rant- people that post "wanted" ads in the "pets for adoption" section on Craigslistdrive me crazy. Save a stray or adopt! It's not like there are no shelters here or no animals homeless on the streets..lol aargh! I saw an ad today- "we NEED a tiny puppy for our 2yr old kid." Puppy needs to be potty trained and current on shots & stuff." We prefer a free puppy." WHAT?

Lol. I agree. I'm a shelter dweller- I would never pay full price for a pet! I've actually got two 8 month old Basset's I'm trying to re-home right now. Ahh!

We have 2 retired Purebred American Shorthair Show Cats that we picked up from a Cattery. they either could not get pregnant or else could not carry kittens to term,so we were able to get them for just the cost of neutering. The first one named Callie was caged for the first 4 years of her life,so she was not a social cat. We've had her since March of last year, and in just the last 2 weeks has she come around enough to sit on my DH's lap and socialize with him. The 2nd one named Spindles was just a little thin spindly thing when we got her a year ago June one day after she was neutered, but since then she has blown up like a balloon! What an eater! Finishes hers and the other ones too!! She came to us more socialized with humans than the first one. She thinks she is the alpha cat in the house! These two girls are both 7 years old,and we love them to death!

I looked a min ago-got flagged & deleted..lol

ANY puppy? That's kind of scary... I always know what kind I want and I will admit I do look for the free ones rather than the shelter simply because the shelter costs are usually out of my range. I KNOW they are a great deal because the dogs have shots, are neutered and need a home.. but you know me... if I can get the same for free I will and I look it as a "rescue".. I got my dog off of craigslist and he was EXACTLY what I wanted and if I hadn't taken him he would have eventually made it to the pound. So I dont' feel bad.
Today: I have been laughing and tired all at the same time.. started out the day as a mom, then a daughter in law, then a wife, then a friend, then a nurse, then a crime stopper, and in between it all a business woman.. It's been a FULL day and Im worn out!

Ooops.. I wanted to add.. Audrey: I spent 4 years overseas and it was the best and most exciting time of my life. I wouldn't go back and change it if I could and I hope your daughter is experiencing the same. It truly gave me not only great life experience but a different perspective and respect for America or at least what America stands for.

I am sorry about that Audrey- That is a very difficult thing to deal with. I am so happy to hear that you rescued-saving a life is such a great thing to do-especially from a pound.
