One of our major grocery store has started offering 10 for $10 sales. I have been watching these closely and save a lot of money but I have also noticed that a lot of the items that are on sale for 10 for $10 are cheaper before the sale! For instance I usually buy mustard at this grocery store and get the store brand for about .69, today it came out in the 10 for $10 sale! This is one of those areas where it pays to know your prices!

I have noticed the same thing! At first, I get excited thinking I'll have the opportunity to stock up and then when I take a closer look I realize that it's not that great after all.

This reminds me of when I would go grocery shopping w/ my mom when I was little. While my mom was trying to figure out what to buy, I would lift up those little sale signs to compare it to the regular price, and to my surprise, many of the original prices where the SAME as the "sale" price. I even got worked up because I felt like the store was lying.
I guess I've been a skeptic most of my life. hahahha
