The SpencerLab Digital Color Laboratory is an independent testing facility that specializes in printers and related products, and is currently recruiting color laser printer users for an upcoming research study. Participants will be asked to print several files on their printer and fill out a short online survey. If you match our needs, we will contact you via e-mail to confirm acceptance into the study; we estimate the total time to be 15-30 minutes. You will be asked to repeat this task at some future times for additional compensation.
SpencerLab will compensate you every time you perform a valid participation task as follows: First valid participation earns you $10 (USD), Second- $15, Third- $20, Fourth- $25, Fifth- $30, and Sixth- $50. So you have the opportunity to make a total of $150 through the duration of the research. SpencerLab will use PayPal to pay the qualifying participants. You will have the option to spend online, withdraw the money to your bank account, or use other options provided by PayPal. This study will only include US locations and is an ongoing study. It is currently envisioned that this study will take approximately six months. Completing this initial registration does not guarantee participation in the study.
Q. What is SpencerLab Pre-registration?
A. To ensure that the feedback and samples we gather fulfill the needs of a research study, participants must fit within the spectrum of its target base. Pre-registration requests names and contact information of potential participants, as well as available printer(s). Following pre-registration, participants will be screened and qualified for inclusion into phases of the study as it progresses. Prospective participants who may match our needs will be contacted via e-mail at the address you provided to gather more in-depth information to confirm acceptance into the study. Prospective participants not chosen for a current phase will be kept on file in the research database for possible future inclusion; registration cannot guarantee participation in the study.
Q. Do participants get paid?
A. Yes, there will be compensation for validated completion of the tasks. The length of the study and the participant's validated completion of tasks will determine the compensation offered. SpencerLab will compensate you incrementally for every valid participation for up to six participation cycles. First valid participation earns you $10 (USD), Second- $15, Third- $20, Fourth- $25, Fifth- $30, and Sixth- $50. So you have the opportunity to make a total of $150, if you have validated participation through the duration of the research. Compensation details are at the discretion of SpencerLab and subject to change, but will be clarified before your participation begins.
Q. How does SpencerLab pay me?
A. SpencerLab will use PayPal to pay the qualifying participants. You will have the option to spend online, withdraw the money to your bank account, or use other options provided by PayPal.
Q. What is involved in this research and how much time will it take?
A. You will be asked to print a test file (provided by SpencerLab) and configuration page on your color laser printer, mail the prints to us in a supplied, pre-paid envelope, and fill out a short on-line survey form. We estimate the total time to be 15-30 minutes. You will be asked to repeat this task at some future times for additional credits, enabling redemption for higher-valued items.
