Dear Registered Research Participant,
This is Pamela Huggins of Hagen/Sinclair Research with a cool study for teens and pre-teens age 10 to 19. We are asking them to journal online about their cell phones!
To be appropriate for this study, participants must have their own email, own cell phone, daily internet access, and be currently enrolled in grade 4-12. This study will ask them to contribute 15-30 minutes of writing per day online, at any time of day, for seven consecutive days: May 18 to 24.
Does your child enjoy writing? Is he or she disciplined in completing daily assignments? Then he or she may be a perfect candidate for this study. All participants will receive an honorarium of $100, consisting of $75 in cash and a $25 Amazon.com gift card.
If you believe your child would like to take part, please answer the following questions and return this email to me at hugginsp@hagensinclair.com as soon as possible:
What is your name?
What is your city and time zone?
What is your child's name, age, and grade?
What kind of writing activities does your child do?
Does your child have a cell phone that is dedicated to his or her use?
Does your child have regular, easy access to the internet?
How many calls do you think she or he typically makes each day with the cell phone?
Does your child send text messages with the cell? If so, about how many times in an average day?
What is your phone number and a good time for me to reach you and your child?
Thank you for answering these questions. If your child seems to be a good fit for the study, I will be in touch over the next three or four days.
