So last night, I notice that my monitor is starting to have a bluish flicker, but I ignored it. However, this morning, it still hadn't gone away, and was starting to bug me - so I decided to fix it. After much reading on the Internet, and fiddling with my settings - a light went off in my head; which didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. I set everything back to the original settings, disconnected the monitor cable from my computer and reconnected it again : problem solved. These problems can occur when you have a grandson, who is almost three running around. Now I will have to beat him with a bat, and the Spousal Unit just hates it when I swing her around like that...

Connie,
If you pull on the monitor cable, you can loosen the connection for the RGB - even if the screws are tight, so the first thing to try is unplugging and replugging the cable to ensure the connection is tight.
