Huh, that's interesting. One of the drugs listed is Advair. My husband has been on that drug for the last 7 to 8 years and it has made a world of difference in controlling his asthma. Before he started on it he was having asthma attacks all of the time and he was miserable. I can't think of one attack he has had since going on it. For him, it's been a godsend. I would assume that like any medication everyone can react differently to it so it's important to consult your physician if you have side effects. I can't image his life without the advair. Looks like this article was from a site for natural alternatives which do help some but unfortunately not all and they can have negative side effects as well. It just all depends on what type of treatment each individual body responds to.

my husband is also on advair and has been for a long time about the same amount of time but I think that the longer you are on the drug the less effect it may become. I almost lost my husband last year in april. He has copd and had asthma when he was a kid. Very severely and had to move out of penn. He came to california where he picked up smoking unfortunately but he was healthy at that point. Now he has to move from where we live because the air isn't all that good here. But he is still on adair. So I know what you are saying. There are some medicines he can't take that new one that is out asthmacort he reacts to it badly. The advair has become so expensive however. When we started it it was like 90 dollars now it is like 220.00. And they haven't done a dam thing to it just raised the price. Hope your husband continues to do well.
