Suncatchers.....
Need: 2 pieces of construction paper, or other flat material, wood with stencil cut out works as well. pieces of thin tissue paper torn in pieces of all shapes and sizes. glue, elmers glue sticks are what I use, it sticks the best. Scissors
1. cut out a patern or design from the center of the construction paper, both pieces so they mirror each other 2.place one piece of the construction paper face down and apply glue all around the outside perimeter of the pattern. 3.take the tissue paper and apply the pieces around the outide of the pattern so that they overlap in the opening of your pattern. Use the glue stick to glue together the pieces of tissur paper in the middle 4. Once the middle is completely covered with tissue paper apply glue to the perimeter of the pattern as well as the perimiter of the contruction paper, you can add ribbon or string between the two pieces of construction paper if you want to hang it up. 5. decorate the outside of your sun catcher with markers, glitter, whatever you like.
These can hang in amy window and reflect beautiful colors on the walls. Have fun!! My kids love this project!!
