Last weekend we rented Year One and Ghosts of Girlfriends Past.
From the previews I had high hopes for Year One. And the fact that it had Michael Cera & Christopher Mintz-Plasse from Superbad, which I loved. But it was mediocre at best.
Ghosts of Girlfriends Past was pretty good, for a chick flick. Not as good as The Proposal, if you ask me.
Last night we watched I Love You, Man. This movie is hilarious. It kept me laughing through the whole thing.

We rented Management with Jennifer Aniston and some weird guy. It was cute but not spectacular. I want to see all the ones you listed.. Will have to start with The Proposal apparently.
We also watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, it was better than I expected. I didn't like the way they filmed it though.. wayyy too much dark dark lighting.

We got Night of the Living Dead from Netflix the other night and had fun watching it. Got Dawn of the Dead coming-can't wait. Been on a zombie kick for a while-really liked Zombieland-watch it in the theater or on DVD

We went and saw Couples Retreat last night. Great movie, very funny.
Do any of you belong to the 5 Buck Club with Kerasotes Theaters? You join the club (for free), get a card in the mail, and when they release certain movies to the club's list, it's only $5. It takes a few weeks to get put on the list, but the savings are worth the wait. Since g/f is sick, I went with a friend & his g/f. It was actually the 1st night this movie was on the 5 Buck Club list and it was sold out. We got there and the guy told us only front row was left. A party of 6 was ahead of us, so they took up the remaining front row seats. The usher managed to squeeze some people together and got 2 seats open, so I let my friends have them. I ended up a few rows back and was either the very last open seat or 2nd to last. We didn't expect a packed house. The movie's been out for about 3 weeks, but I guess everyone waited for it to go on the $5 list. Kinda sucked not to be able to sit with my friends, but it was still a very good movie.
Rented Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs tonight. Another very good movie. I like the Ice Age series. My boy liked this one too.
Watching Transporter 3 now. I like the Transporter series too...good action flicks. Guy movies I suppose.
Next weekend will be Transformers 2 & X Men Origins: Wolverine. We saw Transformers 2 in the theater, but it was a small, cheap theater and the sound was horrible! The background audio was fine but all the voices were low & mumbled. So renting it will be like watching it (or should I say, hearing it) for the first time.

Watched G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and Four Christmases the other night.
As a kid, I was a huge fan of the G.I. Joe toys (had a ton of them) and cartoon.
So when it comes to these guys remaking old 80's cartoons into live-action movies, I'm very critical.
It was a pretty good action flick. The special effects were good, not great. I didn't like the casting of Marlon Wayans because G.I. Joe isn't meant to be a comedy...he's just too goofy for the part in my opinion. As with Transformers, it was a modern spin on an 80's children's cartoon. I didn't let my boy watch it cause I wanted to check it out first. It's PG-13...not too terribly violent. They say "sh*t" several times, but it's not profane.
Four Christmases was pretty good. I really like Vince Vaughn, but I didn't think he was as funny as he usually is. And I love Robert Duvall, but he didn't have a very big part.
Both were worth the rent.

Rented Management (Jennifer Aniston) last week. I thought it was average, not too terribly funny. But like most men, I love Jennifer Aniston. That woman is like a fine wine. I don't know how much work she's had done, but at least she keeps it looking natural. Best part of the movie was when she kinda bent over & let him touch her rear end. LOL Fully clothed, so don't worry about nudity.
And a couple I didn't rent, but watched streaming online last night.
1st was Yes Man with Jim Carey. Pretty good movie, not the funniest Carey movie I've seen for sure though. But enjoyable. I really like Zooey Deschanel.
2nd was The Invention of Lying. This was interesting, I can't imagine a world like that. A few laugh out loud funny parts. I wasn't expecting him to take advantage of lying so quickly. I thought he'd have to learn to get it to work for him. I really like how they tied him into the whole religion thing.
