Anyone watching ? I love Leno. I am so happy he's back and he's on earlier. So many times I didn't watch because it was too late.

I watched. Pretty much the same as The Tonight Show. Sure was a lot of hype for a Tonight Show sequel. I'm a bit confused as to why he wanted to leave The Tonight Show only to do his own show that isn't any different.
He could have picked better guests for the 1st show though. I get Jerry Seinfeld. He's a TV icon these days and he was kind of promoting the Seinfeld cast reuniting on Curb Your Enthusiasm. But the bit with Oprah just wasn't funny. C'mon Jerry, you can do better than that!
Who the heck in the Dan Band? The whole car wash skit was just plain stupid.
And musical guests Jay Z, Rhianna & Kanye West. Give me a break. You couldn't find anyone better, Jay? Were you reaching out to a younger audience or what? After his rude little stunt against Taylor Swift on the MTV VMA's Sun. night, I would have told Kanye thanks, but no thanks.
Other than that, I like the idea of a primetime talk show. I doubt it would work with someone who wasn't already established as a popular host. We'll just have to wait & see how everyone else likes it.

I wish he told Kanye to hit the road but I guess he could not miss the chance to practically make the bad boy cry when Jay asked what Kanyes' mother would have thought of his crap behavior.
Jay should have had Beyonce on and showed everyone what a classy lady does when put in a difficult situation. THe way she gave the stage back to Taylor was just a great moment. Wish more folks were talking about that instead of the moron that is Kanye.

I like Leno but I love Letterman, so I only watched him when the Late show was a repeat. It's tougher now... I like Conan better than Leno so I switch back and forth I watched last night, it was a lot like the tonight show. I'll watch it when nothing better is on or the good shows are reruns. OC- I could be wrong but I thought he left because they didn't re-new his contract, they gave the Tonight show to Conan. BUT when it looked like Jay would be swept up by another network NBC offered him a prime time slot to keep him from going somewhere else and in an effort to keep them viable. They really don't have much left in high rating shows.

I really like Jay Leno... I'm glad he's back on. I don't know if I will watch the show every night because I like variety in my television viewing but I will probably try to catch it a few times a week. I have always liked his opening monolog. I've really missed that over the summer. I'm just not jiving with Conan.....I've tried to watch him, but I just don't get him humor. I think he is one that you either love or hate so I guess we will see what happens with the tonight show. I watched it for the first few weeks after he took over but then gave up because I just didn't think it was worth staying up for anymore. I think Jay Leno's show will be a nice filler on nights when there isn't a lot of good options on other channels. Plus it fits better with my bedtime!!!

Jay should have had Beyonce on and showed everyone what a classy lady does when put in a difficult situation. THe way she gave the stage back to Taylor was just a great moment. Wish more folks were talking about that instead I absolutely agree. The focus now should be on Beyonce & Taylor - classy, professional. The kids need to know if you become rich and cool, you can still be a NICE PERSON. Thing is, Beyonce 'cause she is a class act, she probably won't continue to talk about it. I just hope the tv shows that like to run the same clip over and over and over, will run just Beyonce & Taylor part.

I like Conan, but his goofy style just isn't a good fit for The Tonight Show. In the Carson days, it was THE place to go when you were working your way up the ladder of fame. For lack of a better word, a "classy" talk show. Conan, with his unique comedy style, tends to be more circus-like. I just don't see the Tonight Show as being the right venue for that. I think he'll continue to lose many of the Tonight Show faithful who just don't get him. I wish he told Kanye to hit the road but I guess he could not miss the chance to practically make the bad boy cry when Jay asked what Kanyes' mother would have thought of his crap behavior. I was a bit weirded out when Jay said that. I felt like it was an adult giving a child an inappropriate lecture when they had no business doing it. It was sort of a, "Who do you think you are, Jay, my dad?" moment. I'm so sick of celebs doing all the wrong things and it only makes them more popular and a more sought after interview. I don't care what my audience would think of me. If I were a host, and a scheduled guest pulled something like that, I'd cancel them & make it part of my monologue to let people know I'm not going to give you the airtime.
