Hey guys and gals. I havent seen a posting about this and wasnt sure where to put it so I figured I would put it here. Its a new website called Me2everyone. Here is some info about it.

Im going to move this to the scams section just for discussions sake. Since a quick search shows a lot of people are seeing it as a type of HYIP scam and it sounds like it does require an "investment".

Im NOT saying it's a scam.. I only did a quick look. Moving it will give others the chance to dig deeper and discuss it.

Internet HYIP (high yield investment programs) scams are more common than people would think. These can involve the launching of a new website, community, or money-making opportunity. What is involved is that money is obtained from 'investors', who in turn get other investors, and payments are made to the original investors from the money obtained from the second wave of investors... and so forth. HYIP can fail at any time
In the Financial World, these are called Ponzi shemes, the most famous of which has been the recent collapse of Bernard Madoff's scam.
Now back to me2everyone.com: It is a UK-based Private Limited Company, and as such, it cannot “offer” shares to the public. Only Public Companies can do so legally. I doubt it's legitimacy just by its offering shares to (public) members signing up at its website. Upon trying to negotiate the website, I was very confused by the run around in the FAQs SHARES section. What I found really interesting was the part about an upcoming version that will allow members to to buy and sell shares. So shares are supposedly free, and you will soon have an option to buy and sell these free shares.

Scenario: I build a website and give myself thirty identities, each with a lot of shares, and allow others to join with a smaller amount of free shares. They don't know about my other identities, but they see my different identities buying and selling shares at an increasing price - so they jump on the band wagon and start 'investing' cash into buying some of the shares. ***Remember, I really haven't invested any cash*** Then they get others to buy into the website. After enough cash is invested, I empty the accounts, close the site down, and disappear to do it again under another disguise.

I am not saying that is what is happening at me2everyone.com, it is too early to tell. But RED FLAGS are being raised all over the Internet.

Louis, did you see the program on the History Channel a few months ago on Bernie Madoff? It was produced shortly after he was busted and it was fantastic! They went into the history of Ponzi and other similar schemes and obviously Madoff. Anyone can get sucked into these things but there are obviously others that scream SCAM. You just gotta be careful, especially on the Net. (By the way, I just got an Email from Nigeria saying a prince is sending me a billion dollars-is this a scam? ;D

Nah, those Nigerian Princes got nothing better to do than send out billions of dollars, but don't tell anyone. Sssssssh...
