I didn't see Da Vinci Code. I don't know if this was a sequel or not.
It is an action packed movie. One that keeps you guessing.
Overall and very good movie. Hanks was wonderful, you forget he's the Forrest Gump guy, he's a brillant actor.
Here's what I didn't like, it's just me ;
I don't like seeing violence against Priests. The violence was graphic.
Yes, I know religion and violence goe way back. still I don't like it.
I'm sure others would enjoy the movie more.

I wont go see it because I know it will be disappointing. The DaVinci Code was. The books were awesome, but the casting was not what I had in my head and the movie just didn't cut it with the book. I thought Angels and Demons was even better than The DaVinci Code so I imagine it will be an even bigger let down.
That goes for almost all movies from books though. Twilight and Eragon both sucked but if I hadn't read them I would have liked the movie. I have NOT read Harry Potter because I saw the first movie and loved it, so I have them all sitting here and I wont touch them until after the last movie this fall.
Hubby tends to get very annoyed when I tell him it is not how it is suppose to be, lol.

Tara, I never read Eragon, and wasn't really impressed by the movie. And I love movies with dragons in them! My friends and I heard about the new animation for Dragonslayer (1981), and waited in line the opening day to see it. It is still one of my favorite dragon movies. I will have to say that the idea of the Illuminati at war with the Catholic Church seems kind of ridiculous, but I will probably see Angels and Demons when it comes out on DVD. As far as priests and violence goes...ummm...Spanish Inquisition (not the Monty Python version), Knights Templar, Knights Hospitaller, Jesuit Priests and indigenous populations, etc...

I like those kinds of books, there is usually some good history mixed in under the fictional story. The Last Templar was a pretty good book. The movie was on TV and it wasn't half bad, not nearly as good as the book but....
SO much was left out of Eragon. I am impatiently waiting the final fourth book. They were excellent, and the kid was only 17 when he wrote the first one. I liked the Twilight series a lot but as far as young adult novels go, the Eragon series puts Twilight to shame. They were very great IMO, I would recommend them to anyone who likes that sort of thing.

...The Last Templar was a pretty good book... I studied the Knights Templar and other Orders in Junior High School, and read many books about them to this day. I have read The Last Templar, which was better than the movie. I have also read The Templar Chronicles: Heretic, which I really enjoyed. I searched for the rest of the series and was very disappointed upon finding out it was only available in German and Russian. So not being one to take this sitting down, I contacted Joseph Nassise about why the other two books in the series were not published in English. He was very vague about the reasons why, but he did tell me that another publisher would be releasing the whole series in English soon. So I started to research why only the first book in the series was published, and found out that there is a difference in being well-published and published well. When you are well-published, there is a lot of publicity with no guarantee of any continuation. When you are published well, the publisher will follow through on their commitments to the author and public. But we are getting away from Angels and Demons. Does anyone think that the Alan Parson Project is an Illuminati psychological operation to prepare the public for their emergence? As evidenced by their lyrics for 'Eye in the Sky' and 'Pyramid' Inquiring minds want to know! LOL

Heavenly, if I remember right, Angels and Demons is actually the prequel, (is there such a word?) and The Davinci Code was the sequel.... As for the Alan Parsons project... lol.. I actually never thought of it! You should give George Noory a call and I bet something would come of it.. Really, it makes sense and I DO believe the media plays a huge roll in "preparing the public" for things we don't know about..
