Hey all. Found this nice website that I think you people will find real useful: www.kids-in-mind.com/It's basically a site that rates each movie on sex content, violence, and profanity where higher numbers mean more content. This way you can like see which movies are meant for your kids. What is pretty interesting is that it describes the scenes that explain why it got that rating so beware of spoilers when checking out the detailed review. While some ratings can be a bit accurate. It's still a pretty interesting site. Enjoy!

I won a 'Burn After Reading' DVD (rated 8.7.10) in a sweepstakes, and the Spousal Unit, dd, and I watched it together. I never would have expected George Clooney to act in some of the scenes in that movie. If I would have researched the movie, then I would have left it in the packaging and given it away. Which reminds me... I still need to trade/give it away.
Thanks for the site, it covers more about specific scenes than IMDB, but IMDB gives away the entire plot. Kids-in-mind just covers the scenes and why they rated it as such, and doesn't really give the plot away.

IMDB is intended to be informational. So I wouldn't consider it to "give away" the plot, but rather simply describe it. It's not meant to be a spoiler site.
I use it a lot to look up TV & movie info. I like being able to look up a movie a particular actor was in and seeing what else they've starred in. And the trivia & memorable quotes are fun too.
Thanks for the site, Glitch. The info about certain scenes would come in handy. I've never really been all that fond of other people's rating systems though. I'd rather judge for myself what is & isn't good for my boy to watch.
