Strawberry Nut Bread
2 (10 ounce) pkg. frozen sliced strawberries, thawed 4 eggs 1 c. vegetable oil 2 c. granulated sugar 3 c. flour 1 Tbsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 1/4 c. chopped nuts
Beat eggs in a bowl until fluffy. Add oil, sugar and strawberries. Sift together the flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt. Add the strawberry mixture and blend until well mixed. Stir in the chopped nuts. Pour into 2 greased loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done. Cool in pans for 15 minutes, then turn out onto wire racks to cool.

Can you substitute fresh ones? How much crushed to use? It is strawberry picking time so am looking for ways to eat the ones we may not be able to get to quick enough.

I have used fresh sliced strawberries before. I had to have hubby figure out how many cups of the sliced ones as I am not fond of math.
