crystajewel, Welcome to the Board! Feel free to introduce yourself in the Introductions Forum, where other members can welcome you properly. There is a list of Mystery Shopping companies, that are free to join, at the top of this forum. Questions posed to and answered by our beloved leader Connie on this subject: Q: I've seen requests for a list of good Mystery Shopping companies but no one seems to want to list them. A: I think it's because there really is no such thing? Each companies pays a different amount for each shop. It's also going to depend on which shops are in your area and which ones you qualify for. I know the bank shops and apt shops both seem to pay more than the fast food shops if that helps? Q: What company names generally do apt shopping? A: They would be nice to list and I understand what you are getting at but the companies don't allow you to talk about what shops they do or for who they do them or anything else. Im sorry, but the best thing to do is apply with the companies that offer shops in your area. You are always free to turn down shops, or not apply for them. Secret shopping is meant to be "secret"... so they have pretty tough rules. My advice on this matter is to first research Mystery Shopping, and decide if that is something you would enjoy doing. Second is to go through the list and sign-up through companies on their website. I would be extremely wary (to the point I wouldn't do it, and report it as Spam) of receiving an email from a company asking me to be a mystery shopper. I know going through the list seems daunting, but work is work, be it from home or at a business. It will take time, and this field is personal, so there are no quick and easy ways for someone to know which companies are best for you. Giving out personal information without researching the company carries some risk, but the mystery shopping companies listed have been pretty thoroughly checked out. If one was found to be a scam, then it would be removed immediately. You can also do your own research by checking the Better Business Bureau listing for the company you are considering joining. Another option would be search the internet for the "company name + scam" or something similar. Louis
