I saw one of the tabloids today in the store and it said that she will loose her 8 kids if they split. That wouldn't such a good thing, but come on people if your not happy don't put on a front for the public and lie to us. I was shocked on how much the house cost! I remember a couple of years ago when they were doing a "reminiscing" show and she had talked about Christmas and how people wanted to send the kids Christmas gifts and she said that sure they could do that. They really had no money and everything they did (trips, TV spots etc) was always donated by people. But I bet they would really hate to loose this show because they get paid ALOT from it. I love the kids. This has got to be hard on them. Don't the parents think of these things on how it would affect the kids?

SHE will lose the kids? How do they figure?
Im not at all surprised.. When the first pics came out when he was hanging out in that college bar or party or whatever it was.. I didn't believe for a second that he was innocent..
No the parents don't think of the kids.. Is Kate innocent in all this or does she have secrets too?

Did anyone watch the season premium of Jon and Kate plus 8 on Memorial day night? It was so sad. I have always loved that show because the kids were cute and funny and they got to go on fun trips and athought Kate and Jon disagreed alot you knew deep down that they were there for each other. But this episode was utterly depressing. It was like they hated each other and were already divorced. During the interview parts Jon and Kate were separate until the very end and through out the show, which centered around the kid's 5th birthday party they barely spoke to each other. They said a lot during their interviews but really didn't SAY anything. It seems to me that the show has gotten a little too big for them and they have turned it into a money making business. They have both forgotten the reason they started the show and that they should be a family first. Seems to me it's time for a reality check for both of them to think about what is really important...which is keeping their family together and not become multi-millionaires off of them.

This show has actually cause the Spousal Unit and I to have disagreements about what is going on. I avoid the show like the plague, but can't help but overhear it (computer & tv both in the living room). But I actually sat down and watch most of the season premiere with the Spousal Unit. I should have been on the computer, like usual. How can the woman complain about the P people (paparazzi) following her around with cameras, when she is paid to have a camera crew around her children all the time. Let's really look at who's exploiting who. Also she had no problems about abandoning her children when they had the flu, for the episode of Jon getting his hair transplant. Ahhh, the search for higher ratings and the mighty dollar. Just imagine what she would have been paid if one of her kids had died from the flu, which does happen. And let's not forget that she was the first to go public with her offer to give advice to the Octomom (darn it! that name hasn't been mentioned on the board for awhile...sorry). Bah! I was almost in a good mood...

I feel bad for Jon and the kids because it seems the problems were there before word about any affair rumors got out. People say that Jon acts like one of the kids but how could you really act around Kate when she is constantly berating and belittling and hitting you in front of the children and everyone else who happens to around plus a camera crew that is showcasing you to the rest of America. I mean do you rally need to remind your husband 24/7/365 about his weight in front of your children, family, friends, a camera crew and the rest of America. If he treated her the way she treats him they'd have him strung up for abuse before we could even blink.
Going to work was his only escape from the cameras not every dad is perfect or involved in their kids lives like Jon. My dad's idea of teaching us how to do something was to say gone back inside and help your mama. Don't get in the way. I understood that he wanted to just go and do the yard work and not have us get hurt but then again mama says that I've always been smart.
Any kind of manners that they were teaching them has taken a back seat to dressing the kids up for trips and stuff. Kate seemed very cold and distant toward Jon and she seems to have forgotten that her life is not her job. You don't just travel with a camera crew and say it's your job because it's your life as well and she has forgotten he most important aspect her children and husband. Maybe if she spent less time being in a spa trying to relax her up tightness the children wouldn't call her by the babysitters name and her husband *probably* wouldn't have an affair with a woman who doesn't try to emasculate him at every breath he draws.
And yes Jon seems to be enjoying all his new toys that he gets from making money off his kids but it does seem that he would give it all up in a moment notice to be just Jon again. So she could try to think of her children and not have to see things Jon's way and just quit the show. She just doesn't seem that way to me she likes the attention but just not the negative aspects of it.
The children are losing mom because she's always doing "her job" and they are losing dad because he doesn't want to be anywhere near this woman and as painful and ugly as this might be or get if they don't work it out the kids will be going through a divorce which by the way would be mostly Kate's fault because she doesn't seem like she wants to work it out with Jon and try to find the man she once loved way before they became one of the nation's guiltiest pleasures.
Hopefully they can work to give the kids a stable kind of life even if they do divorce create as much of a loving relationship as they can for the kids and let them know that it's nothing they did to cause their parents to break up that life is kinda complicated and you try to work on your life as a family with the person you love and sometimes you fall out of love. Just because you don't love mama or daddy any more doesn't mean you don't care about them anymore. It takes most children along time to understand that so a camera crew shouldn't be around for that part of your life it just too private.
As for Kate's relatives while I agree that it's not complete reality tv *none of it is because of how much they edit them* I think they need to just quit protesting because it seems to me that they are trying to get their little 15 spot off of the family and their problem as a family. When it's their life used as entertainment it's between them the company and the viewers some one has to decide to stop. And if they are acting they are doing some hellified acting.

I could see trouble brewing at the end of last season when Jon announced that he didn't think he wanted to do the show anymore because he was no longer Jon he was always Jon and Kate. He lost his identity. Her response to that was that he had issues he needed to work out but that they would be back for the next season. Basically she didn't really care if he wanted to continue the show or not she had already made the decision that they would continue. Then he was told to quit his job 2 years ago to stay home with the kids so she could be free to "do her job" of traveling to promote her books and her show. It's just sad that they have changed so much and that the show has become this million dollar money maker. I understand that she wants to provide a good life for her kids...who doesn't, but it seems to be at the expense of their family.

Well said Hswhite & Shanilashes !!
I believe a man should a MAN. How can you be when your wife is constantly screaming at you ?
OMG that one time he skated down the street and she was screeching at the top of her lungs. I feel so sorry for the kids.

Shanilashes, you said it perfectly.
I wish these 2 would just go away. I sure hope TLC hasn't contracted them for a full season, but I'm sure they have.
Kate says she writes the books for the kids. Then why in the world was she handing out autographed pictures of HERSELF (instead of the family) at the book signing on 1 of the last episodes?
They say they do the show for the kids, to document their lives. Here's a novel idea...BUY A FREAKING VIDEO CAMERA LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE!
If they do everything for the kids, they would've gave up that show a long time ago for the kids because it's not what is right for them. To grow up thinking you get everything for free, that everywhere you go you get star treatment and placed on a pedestal, that's not real. I'm so sick of the world's fascination with "reality stars." These people do nothing.
Kate claims she doesn't like the attention & doesn't like the paparazzi. Well there's new photos out of her & the kids on a beach in North Carolina. She's in a 2 piece bikini. So knowing there's cameras everywhere she goes now (not the ones belonging to the show) why would she strut around the beach in a bikini when on every other episode before she wore a 1 piece suit? And by the way, the plastic surgeon who did her tummy tuck sewed her belly button back on way too high. It's freakish and quite frankly, it scares me.
That woman cares about nothing more than the money and freebies she gets out of all this. If she cared about her kids, and especially her husband who wanted out of the spotlight before all this happened, she would have given up the show.
I don't blame Jon at all. Maybe he did cheat, maybe he didn't. We don't know for sure yet. If he did, I can honestly say that his wife drove him away...drove him to find companionship in a woman who doesn't belittle & degrade him on a regular basis.
And as far as the 2 episodes that aired this past Mon. go, they did not fall in the proper timeline as what's been going on present day. From what I've read, they were filmed at an earlier time. Don't know if it was done on purpose. Maybe TLC wanted to give viewers a false image...that things were better between them.
Once the scandal wears off, I think people will be tired of them. Kate is in for one hell of a rude awakening when she no longer has the money & freebies rolling in once the show is over.

Oh, now it makes sense....I wondered why they seamed to be getting along better on this episode and why they were sitting in the chair together again. That makes sense that they were earlier episodes. Last week they couldn't stand to be anywhere near each other so I couldn't figure out why they were laughing and talking with each other on these episodes.

I'm a fan of American Choppers, the show with the OCC guys who build motorcycles. I saw the preview for next week's show. They are building a bike for Jon Gosselin. The OCC guys go to their house to do some "research & development." Then Jon gets to go back to their shop to help with the build. It looks like it's going to be a good episode because Jon gets to kind of cut loose.
In an interview scene with just him, he says, "It's nice to hang out with all the guys because I have a lot of female friends, AS YOU ALL KNOW." I thought it was nice that he could joke about the tabloid fodder. And at one point when Paul Sr. is yelling at him, bossing him around, Jon tells him he sounds like his wife. And he says they can trade places, he'll stay and build bikes and they can go back to his house.
I do think it's silly that TLC is going to pay to have a bike built for a TLC reality "star" by another TLC reality show, but hey, anything for ratings. You know Jon ain't paying for it.
But it looks like we'll get to see a good side of Jon. If anyone is interested, it'll be on next Thursday, the 11th at 8pm central on TLC.

I saw this too. I also saw where people magazine (I think) has reported that they have been living apart for almost 6 months now and that they have been "mis-representing" themselves for that long and that TLC didn't want the world to know this as it would of made for not so good TV. What a frickin' mess!!

I'm quickly losing interest.
Tonight was their 100th episode and I don't think it could have been any more boring. Emeril came to their house to cook them dinner. Seriously, could they not come up with something better for a milestone episode?
And it looks like Kate is returning to her old self again. Nothing but making fun & insulting Jon the whole episode for his lack of cooking skills & knowledge in the kitchen.
