Oh no not Idol!! LOL I think I'm only 1 of about 7 Americans who doesn't watch this. I used to watch the auditions just for the entertainment value, but even those have grown too boring. To put people on TV who are obviously there just to get on camera knowing they can't sing is dumb. I just never got into this show. It was designed to give the winner a shot at a big recording contract, but these days the losers do better than the winners. So many of them get contracts, what's the point of a winner?

I guess I am number two, I have never seen it. I did see clips a long time ago of the rude guy berating two biys that appeared to be mentally challenged. Now I am rude and I am sure the berating is the draw of the show but that just completely turned me off. I will never watch it, don;t think people like that deserve ratings or tv shows for that matter.

I will be watching. My dd auditioned in SLC so I have to watch to see if she is any of the shots.. plus I love the beginning with all the goofy people and she has some pictures of the ones that were pretty goofy and made it through.. so I will be watching for them too!

The auditions have become more about crazy people trying to get their 15 minutes hoping someone worth their while will see them.
In my opinion, William Hung is still the most entertaining person ever to come out of Am. Idol, including the "real" singers.
SHE BANGS SHE BANGS!!

I too am a died in the wool American Idol watcher. As far as I'm concerned, there are far worse things airing on TV that people could be watching, and some would say far better things also, but for me it's entertaining and doesn't warp my brain!

Have you all seen the girl from last night? I forget her first name (Laneesha?) Young.. She wore the yellow top and was INCREDIBLE.. I love her, loved her song, loved her personality... she is the first pick for me of one who will be in the top 10.

Oh goodness, I don't remember her. During tryouts I tend to remember those who just really stood out either by their dress or by their voices.
There have been a few men this year with voices so deep they couldn't sing. The voices were just too too deep.
There have been a few women who really thought they would make it, whose families thought they would make it and they sang horribly.

Oh I hope you didn't miss her! She definately stood out.. her family was homeless while she was growing up and she had her mom there with her. She wrote and sang her own song which was REALLY good and her voice was amazing... plus the yellow shirt made her standout too.. lol
Then there was the high energy guy! OMG... I am willing to bet he would have made it if he had just toned it down a bit.. he actually had a decent voice when he wasn't screaming the song out.
