There were no major earthquakes in Western Tennessee last week, that I know of. They are not really a big concern around here. I have lived in Ca, and gone through minor earthquakes. I can't say they bothered me, but I didn't really like them.

Well in California as you probably know they can have some major quakes. I have been in some pretty scary ones but nothing where freeways are collapsing. Just buildings weaving and a few things falling. Still it is scary. I was sitting in Red Lion hotel and resturant one day and watch those big chandeliers move back and forth and the people run out of the building. They lost some money on lunch that day. I just kind of sat there and watched and was ready to dive under the table if need be. They had pretty good size heavy tables. Unfortunately you can't outrun an earthquake.
But back to the subject. Yes we have advanced in technology alot in the last 50 years. Sometimes an e-mail comes through and it names all the advances we have seen during my lifetime. I was amazed. Some of which I had forgotten about. You don't really think about it until is itemized.
I would propose this question just for fun. How is it people are born knowing how to play a piano and never had lessons. There is a examples of exceptional people and no one know how they came to having the knowledge or doing what they do What about the child that just graduated from college at the age of 12?? Why can't the rest of us do that?? Where is this coming from?

People who can honestly say that they think aliens don't exsit just aggervate the crap out of me. I mean do people really think that humans are the only exsistance in the entire universe? All I have to say to people that answer yes is ,WOW! Just like fish live in the ocean and can't live out of the water, we cant live in the water..... doesn't that mean that it's possible that other life forces in the universe live without oxygen? I mean oxygen is our source of living, doesn't mean it is another alien thingys' life source, just some food for thought. I just read the question by the way lol, I am not responding to other responses. Whew it's time for bed im getting a little looney.
