Not what I thought either. I agree about Rachael Green. She just grew up. I cried too. I really hated to see it go. It really was like loosing an old friend. I came to know so many of them personally(it seems) and when things happened to them, you were right there with them. I was kinda disappointed that George Clooney didn't show up. I really thought he would of had a little more sentimentality to come on and say his good-bye's too. I loved Elizabeth's rental! I didn't like how the mother of the twins died either. They could of given that part a better ending.

I'm such a wuss. I cried when Mark died and last night when Rachel told Frank who she was. His look said it all. I loved Greene's character, definitely my favorite. Once in a while a show really tugs on my heartstrings. I cry every time I watch the last episode of MASH too.
When Mark left, he walked outside and mentioned that it stopped raining. Last night Carter walked outside and said the same thing. When he left, Dr. Morganstern told Mark to set the tone. When Mark left, he told Carter that too. That's my favorite ER moment ever. I love how no one knew it was his last night.

I admit that I am not a big ER fan (MASH yes), but last night I pointed out something to the Spousal Unit, which she even hadn't noticed. Rachael Green is supposed to be played by Jennifer Anniston! Duh!

Very cool OC... and too funny.. I missed the "it stopped raining" moment.. but I also pointed out the "set the tone" comments as that was my favorite moment too and I told dh last night I have no idea why that moment is my favorite scene (when mark told carter) but it's the one scene that stands out clearly for me throughout the years. They should have had Carter passing that information on to someone last night... but then I would have just bawled..

I missed it all!!!!! Crappy weather I had no NBC at all yesterday. They are replaying the finale tomorrow night so I will try again or go online. I'll have to check online for the first hour special, I wanted to see that.

They should have had Carter passing that information on to someone last night... but then I would have just bawled.. I guess they didn't have Carter do it last night since it looked like he'd be coming back. If I remember correctly, before Carter originally left, he told Archie Morris to set the tone. But when Morris asked, "What?" Carter said never mind. I took it as him saying never mind, you can't handle it. I'm glad he didn't pass the torch to anyone last night cause there just isn't another Dr. Greene or Dr. Carter there...hasn't been since they left. Although I think, in Carter's mind, he would one day pass it on to the newest Dr. Greene (Rachel). Sad that we're losing all of our blockbuster sitcoms & dramas. Shows like Seinfeld, Roseanne, Home Improvement, Friends & ER were and still are HUGE and timeless. Not to mention all the classics before them. In my opinion, we just don't see that in shows today.

Is this where I get to shamelessly plug "Leverage", which ranked as ad-supported cable’s #1 show in its timeslot for its first season?

Only watched ER once in awhile, normally when they had a great guest star. I did DVR the finale. I watched the lookback show, it was neat seeing how much it had changed. Hopefully I will get some time to watch the finale. (I didn't read many of the threads closly, didn't want spoilers.

I am not. Simply because I swear EVERY new show I start watching gets canceled. I'll wait til next season and then catch up. I loved Jericho, Dirty Sexy Money, Big Shots.... the list goes on and on.

I watched Southland last night.. and while I can see what they are trying to do.. it didn't quite catch my interest. Even dh said "this is supposed to be the carter of the show".. yep.. he is supposed to be but it was too "rough" for my tastes.. I don't watch shows because they swear and act all tough.. I like some substance.. there was a little but not enough to "grab" me.
