I was joining the sweepstakes I'm never going to win, when I ran across an advertisement for Fastsweeper.com. the advertisement said it was free. So I clicked on it to see what it was. I was brought to a page that had 20 sweepstakes listed to enter immediately, all I had to do was join. I tried to see what the cost was, but could find nothing on their site.
So Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho, Googling I go, and started to research the site. I found some very unhappy campers, as they have found out that the majority of sweepstakes sites are dq'ing automated entries (I think this applies to roboform too). Fastsweeper says they are not autoentry, but... WHAT? Now I am thoroughly confused.
But I decided to join just to get the free 20 entries and research more. After joining, I am able to access my account, and delving into the FAQs, I find that they charge for a full membership, which allows me to add other sweepstakes for sweepsengine automatic entry (which is something they do not do). If you don't win 'anything' in the first three months, they will extend your membership for another three months, or until you win. I am reminded of Larry the Cable guy at the State Fair giving out Kewpie dolls to women, if he can't guess their bust size through feeling them. "Not your size? Here's your doll".
But it gets even better! Under how can I pay, it tells me that they only make payments through paypal. WHAT?
So by now, I have become very disgusted by this whole thing, and decide I want to remove my free membership. I can't. There is nowhere to 'unjoin'.
I am going to wait for their first email telling me to activate the sweepsengine, and ask them to remove me. I will let you know how it goes.
