Late last night, my boyfriend and I were hit with a double whammy. His father, who is loved greatly by both of us, was admitted into the hospital with severe chest pain. He is still undergoing testing as I write this. This is a big, unexpected blow to the entire family. Because of this, and having to pay upfront for a certain percentage of the testing, my boyfriend and I are now unable to make our rent and bill payments on the first. This puts us in a horrible situation, so if you could please keep us in your prayers, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Good luck, I hope it all turns out for the best. This is why Universal health care has to happen someday soon. Try not to be to scared, hang on to each other, somehow it will work out. You have always sounded like a strong person in your posts. Best wishes for your boyfriends Dad

Please keep us updated and how everything is going. Im trying to think of some resources for help and not having luck but will keep thinking and let you know if anything comes to mind. There has to be SOMETHING..

This is a perfect example of how bad things need to change as far as the health care system goes. I myself cannot afford health ins. and I went into the hosp. back in April with double pnemonia-the ambulance had to carry me out of my house. I had no choice as they told me if I had layed in my bed another day I would have died from drowning in my own fluids. The costs incurred from that are crazy and I can't pay for the 2 week stay, xrays, breathing equip etc. Its like one has no choice-lay there and die or incur costs you cant pay for..it sux to be frank about it. I will for sure pray for ya.

Just an update: We were served with an eviction notice yesterday. Ugh. But, we've got a joint interview this afternoon. It's not a lot of money, but it should be enough to get us by, so I'm hoping that we get it. If you know anyone in my area, I've got a few things I'm selling. I've got a sleeper couch, a bullet proof vest and duty belt/holster, some airsoft guns, a computer printer... oh and a T-Mobile cell phone. Thanks for your prayers guys and gals... it's greatly appreciated.

No- but I did just find out that we have until Thursday to pay it. So... here's hoping. The interview, however, did go well!

Oh Man.. Cassie.. I SO wish there was SOMETHING/ANYTHING I could do to help. You are so great and you have such a great attitude and I know that will carry you through, but all the same.. Can you stay at your fil's?
I am so glad that the interview went well! That again.. shows what a great attitude you have! Come down here and you are welcome to stay here as long as you need! Warning.. I am so NOT as organized or neat as you are.. lol.. I DO wish you the best and will be praying that something turns around for you!

Don't know what to say. Try to hang in there. Check out every service in your area for help. It just sucks so bad. I know our thoughts are with you (it sounds so lame) I do want you to be okay.

First, I had to find Euless. Never been there, but I have been to DFW a couple times, stayed for a week at the Gaylord Grapevine Convention Center in 2004 - but I digress... Call the Salvation Army in Ft. Worth (817) 332-2495. This is the kind of situation that they help out with. They can also help you in contacting other avenues of assistance. I am concerned, due to the recent hurricane, and how much the resources are strained in your area. I am glad to see that you have been posting since Thursday, even if you think I am silly. HTH, Louis
