That when I make a major change to my diet, it's like starting all over.
This week I decided to eliminate an extra 500-900 calories a day and it's just like the beginning when I eliminated the pepsi. I feel hungry all the time. I know I will adjust by the end of the week but oh boy.. it's tough!

That's a lot of calories Connie. I only take in about 1200 per day, so there is no way I could eliminate 500 or 900.

Like the pepsi they are useless calories.. junk... so no biggie. It's just the calorie drop that makes my body go "wait, Im used to more". At least that's what I believe. Today it's not so bad. Just like when I first started it seems the first three days are the hardest and then I adjust. Today isn't bad at all.
Im also noticing that I really am making better choices, not a conscious thing but more like we talked about before. My body is saying "yuck". Last night I wanted a piece of jerky but when I opened the fridge I saw the guacamole and decided to have that instead. After two chips I just didn't like it. I had a couple more chips by themselves because they did taste good then threw the whole thing out and got the piece of jerky.. it tasted wonderful.. lol

I am blown away at how often I'll throw something away as it really does not taste as good as it looks and smells. We all eat without thinking or without enjoying it. I really really try to enjoy what I'm eating. If it doesn't taste good, I'll skip it.

I wonder why that happens. I love guacamole but it was just yuck. Now the pizzas I made the other night were wonderful! I used an indian flat bread, spaghetti sauce, ground beef (sparingly) and cheese. Im sure they were chock full of fat calories but they were yummy.
