Assuming they are phishing for identity theft reasons.. I hadn't seen this one before but found it in my email this morning. Two interesting notes: 1. I don't have a TIN and 2. Wouldn't the IRS use a period instead of a comma in the amount?

LOL this is exactly what it sais on the IRS site about emails from them The IRS does not initiate taxpayer communications through e-mail www.irs.gov/privacy/article/0,,id=179820,00.html
