Any good snack foods for dieters? The munchy kind? I like celery if it is stuffed with cheese spread or peanut butter.. love cheese and crackers.. popcorn IF it is covered in butter... obviously everything I like is not real healthy... So.. ideas?

The key is moderation Connie. I love Cheetos and pretzels. So...I take how ever many are in one serving and put the bag away. I'm done. I just won't eat more. I will eat fruit...I love fresh fruit.

I have been trying to eat fruit lately for snacks but I only really like grapes, bananas, and mandarin oranges.
Do you like granola bars? The small ones are 80-100 calories.

Connie, I keep a big baggie full of mixed vegetables (celery, carrots, broc, cauliflower, snap peas) in my fridge at all times. I also keep a container full of ranch dressing or some other dressing to dip it in. That is usually my late night snack. I agree with Audrey, moderation is the key. I find that by dipping my veg instead of coating them, I use less and it gives me the same satisfaction. My kids both LOVE fruit, so I always have it on hand and it usually satisifies my 'sweets' craving.

You mentioned crunchy. Do you like pickles? I love Clausen pickles. Sometimes at night, I'll eat a pickle. Last night I ate grapes and a 100 calorie pack of kettle corn.

I've been trying the moderation thing and it works okay but I still feel guilty.. The veggies I can handle if I can dip them in ranch.. and that's a favorite so I will have to learn how to dip instead of scooping.. Becca I just saw an add last night for dark chocolate quaker oats bars that were only 90 calories. That isn't a normal snacky food for e but they looked really good so Im going to try them. Plus they should be filling.

I have started going more toward energy bars than granola bars. They have tons of vitamins and if you drink a glass of water with them you get really full. Powerbar makes a brand called Pria that are only 110 calories!

Oh I was going to tell you.. I did buy the quaker oats dark chocolate/cherry... they are YUUUUMMMMYY.. I normally don't like any of the "bars" but these are really really good. The only energy bar or diet bar I have tried that I like are the ones from avon... how strange is that?

Really? I tried those as a pt. I didn't like them... that variety anyway. The raspberry ones are much better. I thought they were too sweet.

What are the Avon bars? I've never seen them and I don't work for them anymore.

I don't see them on their website but they used to have diet shakes and the energy bars etc. The bars were the best I've ever had.. they were chewy so it took a long time to eat one and actually pretty tasty.
