I went to Denny's around 11 pm last night and got cheesy fries. By the time I got home my stomach already hurt and it still hurts today.
I wonder if I can't eat like that anymore or if I just can't eat like that late at night anymore.

Oh no.. it might be from the grease? Last night I threw the diet to the wind... had a personal pan pepperoni pizza and a salad with RANCH dressing.. and topped it off with bacon bits and those little fried noodles..
Same thing happened to me... I ate two pieces of the pizza, plus found out that pizza hut is no longer making their own ranch but using bottled so it was yucky.
I didn't feel happy after dinner.. felt kind of heavy and blah.... but not in pain... Is it an upset stomach pain or a stabbing pain or dull? Is it gone now?
Hope you feel better soon!

So the good news is...all of you are getting healthier When we put "junk" into our systems, our bodies say "YUCK" LOL. Our bodies are not used to junk. I love pizza. I eat it for lunch when I have it, giving me lots of hours to digest. Connie...you know, our favorite is Uncle Dans dressing!!!!

My mom got it out of me that I had eaten a grilled cheese with turkey lunch meat and fries for lunch. So I had a TON of grease yesterday and french fries twice. It as just an uncomfortable feeling, not pain at all. I'm fully better now.

One trick with grilled cheese is to broil it versus fry it. This eliminates some of the grease. Also, when possible, use the lower fat cheeses.
I know there is some resistance to trying the low fat foods. You really have to try each brand to see what you like and don't like.
Becca's idea is great....if you add meat to the sandwich, you're using less cheese and getting protein from the meat.
These are just ways of keeping our favorite foods in our diets without the extra fat and calories.

Yep Audrey is right and that was exactly how I felt.. my body was saying "yuck" to all that grease and fat.. Sounds like Becca and Kaelynn were experiencing the same thing.. Kind of weird but what a great weirdness!
She is also right on adding extra meat. I learned yesterday that protein is more filling and takes longer to digest so you aren't hungry so fast. Im trying it out today. Normally after my bowl of cereal for breakfast Im hungry again by 10. Today I had a bowl of beans and ham for breakfast (more weirdness I know) and then went for my walk. It's 1130 now and Im still not hungry!
The other reason for the weird breakfast is Im trying to do things backwards today, biggest meal first and smallest meal last. I figure I have all day to burn the bigger meal instead of eating a big meal and then going to bed a few hours later.

They do say to eat unhealthy earlier in the day if you eat unhealthy at all.

Arent Ham and beans healthy? I didn't think of it as being unhealthy.. I grew up on beans and ham and it's a favorite. Now the fried potatoes that I generally make with it... WAY unhealthy but a huge weakness.., I actually felt I did good the night before when I only had a small spoonful of potatoes with the meal.

beans are healthy, but back to the pork thing...ham is not. It is very fatty.

Crab is very low in points. I'm not sure on the lobster. I've not had lobster in a really long time. The butter of course is high in points LOL.

Lobster is pretty low too until you add the butter.. we read all the nutritional info while we were waiting It was so so so so good! I can happily report that although I did have high fat foods and wasn't going to feel guilty I still found myself making choices.,.. which means it's starting to become habit instead of effort. I had the caeser salad but only ate a few bites.. had the cheesy muffin but only one... had real butter and sour cream on my potatoe but still only a few bits and concentrated mostly on the yummy stuff... crab legs, lobster, shrimp scampi, fried shrimp (two).... so while I did indulge big time... I didn't go completely overboard like I normally would... We brought home a few legs, a ton of scampi and the waiter gave us a bag of biscuits to bring home so I will have some for lunch today.
