Put cooked egg yolks in a zip lock bag. Seal, mash till they are all broken up. Add remainder of ingredients, reseal, keep mashing it up mixing thoroughly, cut the tip of the baggy, squeeze mixture into egg. Just throw bag away when done easy clean up.

great idea! I always make them for funerals and homecomings, Its an easy finger food, and something kids can run through and get with out a family member having to make them a plate.
and if you are in a real hurry just use thousand island dressing to mix them.

Can I ask a really stupid question? What do you mix them with? Mayo, I know but anything else? Go ahead laugh, I can't even boil an egg right- they are always over or under cooked, and haven't the slightest on how to make deviled eggs. But hubby loves them and if the mood strikes to be nice maybe I will try.

if you start with 6 yolks, about a half cup of mayo, add a half teaspoon of dry mustard, a half teaspoon of white vinegar and salt and pepper to taste.
that's just sort of basic. you can add a little chopped olive. onion, or pickle, or pickle relish, and/or substitute a little pickle juice instead of the vinegar.
some folks put in a little horseradish. most seem to sprinkle paprika on top.
no doubt about it, i am definitely making some devilled eggs this week

OK, thanks for posting that devilled egg site, audrey! talk about thorough! directions on cracking and peeling? LOL! (i admit, they WERE useful, but it just seems a little obsessive to go into that level of detail) well, i just made the devilled eggs and used the plastic bag method. here's what i discovered: you don't want to try this with cheap generic plastic bags. ;D i got four or five eggs filled and the seam on the baggie ruptured and the filling splurted out all over the next egg. it was hilarious, but messy (and delicious to clean up...LOL). my BW was thrilled with the eggs. i like devilled eggs, but i don't need them that often. after today, i could go until 2015 easily before i'll need another.

That's a great little niche website. I really liked it. Not to mention I love deviled eggs. I never tried adding the vinigar that crimulent mentioned. The baggy trick is a good one, Connie, I've used it for other things as well, like cake decorating etc.
