How does google alerts help you? I don't have a system except to blog when something strikes me as being appropriate... I have got to be the laziest blogger on the internet.. I loved it when I started but then.. yep... no ideas...

Connie,
I scan the new items. For example.....there was a whole page on healthy lunch choices...this was mostly for adults who are conscious of what they eat. So I from that, I decided to try and post about lunch box choices for kids. It's just an idea starter.

The best thing to do is to pick a topic to write about. Then do a lot of research about your topic. I have 4 blogs and I can barely keep up with them. It takes some much time out of my day. But since my traffic has picked up on one of my blogs I feel like all my hard work has paid off.

My health blog is quite general so I have a lot of topics I can write about. It's just finding the time to do the research and putting it together so it makes sense. lol

Believe it or not gingko biloba helps. The herb clears the cobwebs out of my mind and I can think of ideas easier.

I just write about boring stuff. ANd I really hate to put someting on there where folks woul dhave to click to make money. I dont want to become a billboard. i thought about doing an affiliate for like amazon or something. But I dont know. So far its mostly just for me. To make me step back and realize that what the kids do is funny. I find that I am enjoying them more now that I can write about it and I see the humour in their days. Instead of just me harping on them all the time. LOL So maybe all in all I am not making money, but I am saving money in the long run, I wont need as much therapy LOL

I find it tough to blog because I find it tough to come up with ideas. Well, it was suggested I subscribe to google alerts and so far, so good!!!! Where does everyone else get ideas from? Hi, Audrey: I realize this is an old topic thread started last October! But the concern you expressed is one I hear a lot. I have a solution to recommend. First, let me say that I AM a writer and I still find it challenging to come up with new ideas and to post to my blog regularly. Fortunately, I have a lot of sources of inspiration for articles, plus I have some "newspaper reporting" history, so I am no stranger to methods of research. One thing I recommend to marketers who are either too busy to research and write articles, or have not yet developed confidence in their writing skills, is Private Label Content - some call it PLR or Private Label Resell Rights articles. PLC/PLR is material or articles written by others, but you are given permission to use it as your own. Sometimes, you can use it as is. Sometimes you are required to modify it to some degree. In most cases, you can even sign your name as the author! For me, as a confident writer, I sometimes just use the PLC for research, or as inspiration for my articles. I might take the key points of the PLC article, then build a whole new article around it. I know of many online marketers who use PLC exclusively, as is, and seldom change any of it. Here is the link to one of my blog posts on Private Label Content: www.starrbizz.com/blog/2008/05/whats-word-on-private-label-content.htmlHere is the article I wrote for one of my StarrBizz web pages: www.starrbizz.com/Private%20Label%20Content%20For%20Newsletters,%20Blogs%20&%20More.html GT

I never thought about getting y'all to vote for me.. LOL I think I posted about being nominated once. it was a while back. I dont even know if I ever got any votes. LOL Honestly, I forget about it. I guess I could list it over there. I would like to win LOL and no, I dont have adsense on there. I did put an ad for mailwasher. Cause I use it, and I love it. and I recomemend it.

GT, As an article writer, I have never used PLR articles. They're not accepted in directories and to be honest, often I can write a better article than some of the quality I've seen. Now, having said that, those thoughts came pre blog days. I think I see myself changing gears a bit on this topic Not all PLR sellers are the same.
