I like it! I wanted to ask: I noticed you use a lot of articles.. you've been blogging for awhile.. do you think using articles hurts, helps or neither? I have always heard it was a bad thing but logically it doesn't make much sense that it could be that harmful.
I understand the search engines don't like duplicate content so much but if that's the case.. what is the point of article directories? Okay.. I know that for the writer it's a great thing.. but do the search engines really look at lets say your blog, give the writer kudos for getting on there and then penalize you the blogger for posting the article?
What do you think?

You're right Connie...when submitting your articles to directories, the search engines do not like duplicate content. It's a good idea to change the articles just a bit when submitting them to directories. Make some little changes to them just to make them different.

In my opinion, when you have a blog I think you should write your own content therefore it is original. Maybe it's this thing I have about it when I hear the word "blog" and to me blog = online journal.
While it's convenient and simple to copy and paste other people's articles, in addition I think it would be wise and beneficial to create your own content to add to your blog.

That's the joy of blogging. There are no set rules. Everyone is an expert in something and everyone can write.... Blogging lets your readers get to know you and you don't have to be a serious writer, just an interesting one because I would be more inclined to read something with personality. I read this one blog where the person gave out step-by-step instructions on how to hand code something and he added his personality into it which made it much more interesting to read. The fact is you can still write "business-like" and incorporate a bit of yourself (your writing style) in there without making yourself unprofessional.
