I would really like to start blogging to make money but I am not sure where to start. In other threads you talk about families.com and blogitive and they seem like a good starting place for me. I know that a lot of people blog because they are trying to steer traffic to their own website. At this point, I don't really want to set up my own website. I would just like to blog and earn a little extra cash. I have been playing around on families.com and I think that I could really contribute to a few of the topics. Has anyone else every tried to blog for either families.com or blogitive? Are there any other blog sites that anyone know of that pay you to blog for them that would be good? Thanks for any advise. I love to write and I am excited about getting into blogging but I want to make sure I do it correctly. Thanks for your input!!!!

My favorite right now is payperpost.com (please use my email as a referral if you sign up.. photomom04@yahoo.com).. you can start a blog and make money. It doesn't have to be part of a website. I use blogger.com as my blog host and I love it. I have not switched to the beta version though, I still use the old format... besides payperpost there is blogitive, creamaid and reviewme which are all good.. payperpost requires your blog to be at least 90 days old and I have one I am still trying to get approved.. review me has the highest payments I have seen but their requirments are hard to meet at least I have found that to be true... blogitive it easy and there are others as well.. let me know if you are interested and I will go find the other sites for you.

Thanks Connie for the great feedback, I will definitely use your email as a referral when I sign up for payperpost. I would love to get the names of the other sites from you when you have time. I would like to get my feet wet at a few different sites and see what happens. Thanks Again!

I would really like to start blogging to make money but I am not sure where to start. hswhite, John Chow Dot Com has a free report on how to monetize your blog. Basically, he says to write what you're passionate about...dogs, kids, selling stamps, whatever. I'm reading through the report right now, and it's quite informative: www.johnchow.com/It's on the right-hand side (you don't even have to scroll down to it). He talks a lot about Wordpress. I found a free report on Wordpress: tomdean.net/Marketing/?p=310And here's another, much shorter one (there's a link within the site that'll bring up the PDF once you click on it): www.optiniche.com/blog/195/wordpress-guide/Good luck! ~Nancy

Hi
I found this forum a few days ago and it's addicting!
I've signed up with almost 200 survey sites and I'm still waiting to get one. Of course, it's only been less than a week that I started signing up.
Now I'm really interested in this blogging thing. I haven't clicked on the links in this thread yet, but I will be doing that. I"m wondiering if anyone has any more info. Just exactly how do you make money with a blog?
Off topic---- About me, I'm a flight attendant, have been for a year and 7 months, loved it at first, now not liking it so much. Am home now, hurt my back a couple days ago, NOT getting paid, desperate to earn more money, don't make enough when I work, let alone now that I'm off without pay. State law says no worker's comp until I've been off 7 days, then those 7 days won't get paid unless off 21 days. I'm sure I'll be back at work in a few days, so I won't even get to cash in. So I'm being punished for getting hurt using faulty equipment. I can cash in some of my vacation time, but that's not fair. I have exactly 2.5 hours sick leave. That's how much I earn a MONTH. Just one more reason why I'm looking for another JOB.....
Sorry, I'm a little upset about this whole thing.

Hi Joyce! It sounds like you have every reason to be upset and vent.. It sounds like you are in a frustrating position right now. I've been blogging about blogging on my blog lately.. haha.. that was kind of fun to type. Here is the link to get you started reading about how to make money: wahmscam1.blogspot.com/It's not real indepth but will give you a sense of how it works. Then come back here and ask your questions! I will do my best to answer and if I don't know.. we will find out!

Oh my gosh, there's so much to read! I can't believe it's almost 10:30 already. I took a muscle relaxer a couple of hours ago and I'm fighting sleep, but I want to read some more. I read the entire John Chow ebook, clicked on a bunch of his links, and read some more. I started my own blog AND I joined adsense today. I'm happy I actually accomplished SOMETHING today. My blog is frekflyer.blogspot.com and it's about my job as a flight attendant and things related to flying and travel. Can't wait to get some more reading done! I'm guessing I need more than 1 blog to make some real money, niche marketing I guess is what it's called, and I need to have a blog on my own domain rather than use blogspot. But I think that'll just have to wait. I like the idea of writing articles and submitting them to free article sites to get links back to my own blog. I also like the idea of using other people's articles if I don't have anything to write about. I've read that product reviews are another good way to post. But I would hate to just join an affiliate program to write about without actually buying it myself and checking it out. It just seems wrong to recommend something I haven't actually seen for myself yet. Thanks for this site! Joyce

Hi all,
Thanks to this board and so much great information I have a couple of blogs done, along with adsense on them and a couple other affiliate thingies. Yes, that is the technical term, LOL.
Unfortunately I must sleep, as I have to work tomorrow. I'm working the flight to JFK, sitting for a couple hours, then working the flight home. I guess I need to take a new book to read. Sure wish I had some of this info I've been reading printed out, but I hate to waste paper and ink. Oh, well, Danielle Steel it is.
