For a long time I have been wanting to do a site on classic movies. I would concentrate on movies currently on DVD, including my experiences ordering DVD's from online dealers, but I would also write about my memories of watching some movies for the first time, and describing various movie theaters in New York City, most of which have been closed and/or demolished I'm wondering if I should do it as a regular website or as a blog. Also, has anyone looked into freewebs.com ? It's a free host (obviously) which recently allows members to add a blog to their site. I'm also thinking about it in terms of google adsense. It certainly would be a well targeted market, though I'm wondering which way would be more profitable, doing web pages or blog entries. And of course if i use freewebs I can do a little of both. I am also planning a site about my experiences doing clinical drug studies, and freewebs may also be a good way to go as I can have both a site and a blog. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You already know my feelings on freewebs. So I will just tell you, I think the classic movie thing will be great either way. I think you could set up a website and then add a blog to it and add to the blog daily. You could have static pages with the currently on dvd movies and where to buy and rent, you could also have static pages of the movie theaters and then use the blog to write about your memories and movie reviews., You have lots of options!

Thanks for the suggestions Connie! I was thinking pretty much along those lines. I'm hoping in the next week to get the movie site and a few other sites up and running, and I will post my progress here on the boards.
