The basics: Writing up is a community of bloggers who are all trying to help each other. Problem one: Members clicking adsense ads trying to be "helpful" and getting you banned from adsense... Problem two: You share your adsense time with writing up.. their ads show half the time, yours the rest of the time.. you are cutting your income.. If you can promote your blog on your own and it is worthwhile, there is no need to be sharing adsense time..
Thats the nutshell!

Wherever you want the little sign to come up at. I think I have mine in the right sidebar under everything else: So I have mine after this part in the right sidebar:
<MainOrArchivePage> <h2 class="sidebar-title">Archives</h2> <ul class="archive-list"> <BloggerArchives> <li><a href="<$BlogArchiveURL$>"><$BlogArchiveName$> </a></li> </BloggerArchives> </ul> </MainOrArchivePage>

Hey Connie,
I am trying to get back to writing in my blog regularly and getting more traffic through. I don't think I'm liking the QuickBlog through GoDaddy as I have VERY little control over how it really looks and what goes in it except for the articles (also I cannot add tags and such for optimization). There is no where to place code except in the sidebar and that is very limited.
I think I'm going to have to go to just hosting and coding my blog myslef. I saw the 3 column code in here somewhere and will locate it when it is time. Do you simply code links to your old articles? I may have trouble with that or have to find a new host as I can only have 5 - 10 pages on the site. Can I put them all in one page and link to that part of the page? I have had some HTML experience and it seems like I could do this, but it's been a long time. Just wondering how you have yours set up.
Thanks!

You probably could but it would be pretty time consuming. With the three column template I use it automatically lists the last ten or so most recent articles and automatically sorts and archives etc. Makes it all pretty easy. I use it though because it was the simplest template for me.. the regular blogger templates I still can't really understand the coding, with this one I can easily see how it is layed out when I view the html.

hi connie, just wanted to let you know my blog is up and running and i have drawn a little attention to it. i have a question for you regarding links in my posts. i've noticed in other blogs that people are able to set up words that will automatically link the person from the words to the article or site, as opposed to having to put the link from the webpage in the post.
if you go to my blog, you'll see what i mean. i really want to clean up the posts.
thanks.

Do you have a new link for your blog? Are you using qumana by chance? I love it because it saves a TON of time on writing out the code etc for this stuff. The basic code though is: <li> <a href="www.thewebsiteaddress">the words you want people to see</a></li>
