Well that sounds like a good deal for you! I am always so afraid of low starting bids since I have too often had things sell at the last minute for whatever my starting bid was.. Drives me nuts especially when I have the same thing listed and it goes for 4 times what I expected to get on the same day! I am not going to be selling anything until Jan. Just too darn busy right now.

I agree! You know Connie, if your auction is almost over and nobody has bid on it, some sellers will just end the auction. Cause if it's at 99 cents on the last day of the auction, there's not much chance it's gunna suddenly sell for $200!

So if you want to BUY something that has a low starting bid but you don't want to bid the first day of the auction so it doesn't gather attention, BUT you're afraid that it's such a good deal that the seller might end it due to lack of bids, you can always throw out just the bare minimum that the seller is asking and that will prevent the seller from ending the auction cause he'll think 'Oh, there's hope, I have at least one bidder!". Also it'll prevent a bidding war or emotional bidding. Then before the auction ends you can raise your highest bid to protect yourself from any snipers. But that's tricky too cause it'll show on the bidding history that you bid twice, so a smart bidder will know what you're up to and might bid high as well. But I wouldn't worry too much about that, us smart eBayers are few and far between huh? ;D

Well now Kelly, why didn't anyone ever point out that I could just end the auction?! LOL... I KNEW that, I just never saw it as a business advantage. It makes total sense when you explain it! You should write an ebay book with all these little handy ideas. I would buy it!

I have an e-bay store. I sell my faux stained glass artwork. Looks like the real thing, but at a fraction of the cost. Am I allowed to put the store name in here??

Thanks Mrsquigg! You will get more visitors if you put the link in instead of just the name... makes people more inclined to click... I know... weird... but it works!

We all have to start somewhere! Just open a new window and go to your store. Then highlight and copy (ctrl C) the address from the address bar. Come back here and click into the message you are writing then hit Ctrl V that will paste the address into your message. Then just to be on the safe side, highlight the address within the message you are writing and click on the little world looking icon right above the smilies. That will make sure that the link is active and people can click it. Now if it is a LONG address.. just skip the little world thing and we will see if it works. Sometimes the addresses will end up truncated and people will still need to copy and paste but at least we tried! I hope this makes sense... good luck! ;D
