Do you know anything about Team National? My dh has been approached by a friend about this and he's seriously leaning towards joining. I'm very nervous about it though since it seems like a typical MLM. I've searched the net and have found mixed reviews.

Well I know that they actually had a real live meeting in my town for it. My mom went, and said that there were some legit people from the town that she knew who had signed up for it. She showed me the info cd and then proceded to tell me that one of the people she knew would put up the $2000 ( ) to get into the program....all that seemed a little fishy to me, and I talked her out of it....it just doesnt seem right to me.....

I just read quite a bit by doing a search on "team national" on Google. It's saying it's a coupon book that you pay $2000 for. That's all I can find out so far. Fergui, if you have any more info, I'll try to offer more of my opinion.

Fergui, if you have any more info, I'll try to offer more of my opinion. It's not a coupon book, it's a website and part of the program... I don't have much time right now to get you the info though. I'll try to get back to you tonight. Thanks, Audrey!!

Ok..I did a websearch and everything I had found said it was a coupon book for $2000 with a yearly fee of about $175. You must sell 10 of them to break even.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you, Audrey. If you read the chatterbox I hope you understand. This is some that I know about it. Here is a link to their website. It is the list of what the benefits are supposed to be and what they do. www.bign.com/whatwedo/default.aspIt's very general information though. So this is my understanding of it... The program that is no charge doesn't give you any benefits other than your 'points' building up for when you DO pay for the program. There is a 'cheaper' program, at $795, but it doesn't give you all, only some, of the benefits either and it has to be renewed every 2 years. The $2100 program is lifetime; willable; available to your parents, children, & grandchildren. You can make money with both of the 'fee' programs, though. You also get substantial discounts are regular stores that you normally shop at. The catch is that you have to buy them online through the Team National site though. They give you a website, (only if you buy into the $2100 package) but you have to pay $75 a year for it. This website is their big marketplace that lists a lot of different companies that you can shop from for lots of different things. They say things you shop for anyway. You earn commissions off things bought. Other people (friends, family...anyone you let on your site) can buy from your site too and you will get the commissions. That's part of the money making part...the other is the MLM where you get other people to sign up and you get money from them on up the line.

Ok...I was pretty darn close in my research....$2000 plus either $75 or $175 per year to renew. It's good for lifetime or until the company goes out of business.
What is your husband finding so appealing about this offer?

not so much the savings, but the MLM. He is a born salesman and thinks he could easily 'recruit' people for it.

What about joining a company that you know will be around tomorrow and that will leave you with all of your integrity? There are just so many great companies out there that men love:
Melaleuca Shaklee Quixtar PrePaid Legal Ameriplan
These are just a few of the many MLM's that have been around for a while.

From their website..."In 1999, total product and benefit package sales were approximately 8 million dollars. In just 5 years, the 2004 total product and benefit package sales reached $70 million dollars. In 2006 the company reached $150 million dollars. In 2007, we grew another 16% and reached total product, service and benefit package sales of $175 million dollars. The membership and the sales have continued to grow for the past 11 years."
It looks like they are continuing to grow. He doesn't like those companies, though. You have to like the products and such that they have to be able to sell them. This doesn't have a product. You are selling the service of making money and discounts.
