For everyday cleaning, use 1/4 cup of white vinegar or baking soda in 1 quart of water.
Keep some in a spray bottle for quick clean-up jobs on all types of hard surfaces.
You can make up larger batches of these mild, low-cost cleaners and store them in clean, reusable containers.
Remember to label containers with their contents.

If you use the vinegar water mixture to clean your patio tables and chairs it is supposed to keep the flies away too.

I thought that it was vinegar that helped to keep the flies away.
