Hopefully you all have one of these groups in your area. Freecycle is awesome. Typically you give something before you start taking. You can post things that you want and see if anyone has it. Big sharing community! (I know I have some horrid grammar going on here but Im not even close to being awake!) freecycle.org/

Thanks, I'll check them out. My mom knows of a site, it might be the same one though, but I'll ask her.

We signed up for freecycle in our area on saturday. DH already picked up a xerox printer, copier, fax machine for free. All he has to do is download the drivers, and replace the ink cartridges. We have a website that we can get black and color cartridges all together for $18.95 not including shipping(which is very reasonable).

I have given a lot to this site. My favorite was earlier this summer I had some of katies clothes listed and a lady responded saying she was gathering things for a family that had been burned out of their home (I had heard the story on the news) and they had kids that the clothes would fit. I asked her to wait until the weekend was over since we were cleaning the garage and would have more. She ended up with a TON of clothes, toys, fake plants, a krups coffee/cappucino machine, plastic wear etc. I even stopped at a yardsale and bought a couple of frying pans for cheap to throw in. When she showed up I wasn't here but my neighbor who is a watch dog came over to see what she was taking and make sure it was okay, when he heard the story he threw in a dining room table! It was all pretty cool. I have gotten: a canning juicer that is really nice and a like new pair of golf shoes for DH. All at the same place. Oh yeah I also got Odie (the dog) from freecycle!

We live in such a rural area, that people don't post much around here. I'll have to go looking around in the surrounding counties to see if they have any good stuff.

I have been looking into Freecycle for sometime but up here in "GOD's" Country there does not seem to be anything happening. What a shame, I have noticed that since I have been on Katies Hug site, I have this urge to always want something for nothing, or at least a way of making things happen for less. LOL You are turning me into a Frugal person!
