I'm considering Mystery Shopping but I have a few questions: 1. Do you usually have to make purchases? If so, how quickly do you get reimbursed? How soon do you get paid for the shop? 2. Grammar has always been my weakness. How important is it for Mystery Shopping? 3. My sister is 22 and works at a credit union. She said their employees can always spot a shopper because they ask the same questions. Is this true for others? 4. How secretive do you have to be? Can you take notes while shopping? I'm sure the security cameras are watching . 5. I've seen postings that shoppers pretend to shop for a home. Do you have to give the place you're shopping your info like name, address, phone #? I certainly don't want to be hounded at home by these companies. If anyone can answer these questions please let me know. Thanks, Kim (in Georgia)

You often have to make purchases. The companies I shop for seem to only send out checks once a month so sometimes it takes a few weeks to be reimbursed.
It is important that you be able to write competently for your report but your post seems perfect so I wouldn't worry.
I work at Blockbuster and sometimes we can easily spot the shopper and sometimes it takes us by surprise.
You can't take notes while shopping. They always suggest you keep the papers hidden in your car and drive like one parking lot over after the shop to take all your notes.
I don't know about shopping for a home. I haven't tried that kind of shop.

The home shops are great bc no purchase is required. You can give your info or you can give false info. Actually the first one I gave mine and then I was required to make up other names and employment to fit the price range for the homes. I have never been contacted again from the sales people. They must notify them after I submit my report that I was a shopper. They usually pay $35-$60 per shop.

I am from Malaysia. I wish to have this kind of opportunity in my country.
