Hello, I am new to this site, Ihave read alot of your posts though I have learned in the last 4 days of doing surveys and signing up for at least 80 company's (mystery shopping too) that : 1. a white 31 year old expectant married mother of 3 that lives in a rural area is not what folks want to hear from. 2. I need to hide the belly and try to find a job in town somewhere. I didnt expect to get rich, heck I didnt even expect to make what I made up until 2 weeks ago when my employer found out I was preg. But it would be nice if I could at least pretend to make some money. I dont want gift cards, what good will a 10 dollar amazon card do me if I dont have the other 10 in real cash to buy a book.?? LOL I have come to the conclusion that I screwed up the way I went about signing up for these things. and I will be honest, I think I lost 50 bucks to a pay survey site.. I also maxed out the only credit card I allow myself to have to sign up for this site, so I cant do any of the pay 4 bucks to make 15. 3. I really think that my ISP is going to kill me.. so far I have emptied out my deleted items folder for the second time today. with over 300 spams the first time and over 250 the second. If I didnt have morals I might just use a differnt race, income or say I was employed to get the surveys sent to me! LOL, but knowing my blonde hair and short attention span (not cause of me perse, but the 3 kids running around) I would screw it up! LOL And to top all ofthis off, the kids are out of school, for the FULL 3 months... there has not been a 3 month summer in our school district since I was in school. and that is longer than I care to think about! LOL anyway, I just had to share this with someone, Thank you for all of your help, I am not giving up. heck I cant, Even if I wanted to wash my hands of the whole deal , t wont work....I keep getting reminded of the mistakes I made in my inbox!!

So if I am understanding right, you paid to get a list of survey sites and probably signed up for the offer sites as well? Oh man! It is a pain but all is NOT lost.... Trust me... I signed up for every site out there so that I could make the "good list" that is posted here and at katieshugs.com. I know what the spam is like from those awful places. Go through the list here: www.itsfree.proboards43.com/index.cgi?board=surveys&action=display&thread=1110513172Anything you have signed up for that is not on the list.. try to unsubscribe.. you can usually find a link at the bottom of their email. Trust me.. you won't get unsubscribed from all of them.. one inparticular I have been trying to unsubscribe and it's just not working but when I see their emails I know to just ignore them. You really are the perfect demographic for a BUNCH of survey sites... they love young moms! Make sure to sign up for Bakerstreet.. I never get their surveys anymore since Katie turned 5 but when she was little I got LOT'S of great product tests from them.. I STILL have two huge packs of baby wipes left over from the bunch they sent me to try out! I don't know how rural your area is but if you have a good sized town within driving distance and are willing to drive you should be able to get into some good mystery shops as well. Don't give up!

Thanks, I do have a town with a mall, not a mall of America or anything, that is about 45 minutes away, and for the next few months I will be going there alot... LOL I am going through your list now and seeing which I have not signed up for.
I dont know what turns them off, but I get a few surveys and then 1/2 way through I get told I aint good 'nuff! LOL
Gee nothing like feeling fat, going crazy and not being loved by corporate america!! LOL
I think the most discouraging and agervating is the companies that are NOT survey sites, they are just to sell you something. I already mentaly have a list of companies to NEVER USE!! just cause they are on every page I see! LOL of course since I loose mental capasity with each kid this boycot info should be gone from my mind quickly.

Don't stop taking the surveys because you aren't qualifying right now! First it takes time to get yourself built up with the companies.. second you might be getting disqualified because you ARE pregnant and if the test is for anything that will go in or on your body they aren't willing to put you and themselves at risk... however... if you are staying active NOW, once the baby is born you will get to qualify for a lot of studies and already be on their lists as an active participant..
None of us every qualify for all the studies we try to get into it but when you do qualify it's always great fun!
Have you signed up with a bunch of the mystery shopping sites in the mystery shopping section? Get signed up with at least a few if that is something you are interested in.

i have only taken time to sign up with 2 sites. At 2pm today I got a call from a site i hadnt heard of or signed up with. asked if I could go to tractor supply today or tommorow and do a mystery shop. They had gotten my name from one of the sites!! I signed up with them, did the shop and am getting paid 30 bucks!!! It was great, I only go to town a few times a week (live 20 miles away one way and I drve a F350 deisel!! LOL ) Plus I had to get a tractor part for my hubby! LOL I jumped on it, did it and managed to go to another tractor place afterwards ( they didnt have what I needed... ) and got the kids to baseball on time! LOL I will be signing up for more in the next few days. Since I live in such a small town I really didnt think I would get any for it, only for the larger town 45 miles away. I was shocked! Really brightened my day since it started out wiht a call from unemployment that my old boss was still fighting it AND that call was interupted by someone driving up to tell me they watched one of my horses collapse in th pasture. He was colicing, luckily I was able to give him a shot in time! Maybe this will work out after all

Hi! I just wanted to tell you I feel your pain. I have 2 boys 11 & 13 that have been out of school for 5 days. It's going to be a LONG summer....... I have been doing surveys since 11/06. I think everyone at first goes through the same feelings about surveys. You're excited, you get disappointed, even bored, you get tired of them, then you get a check, hmm, looking better, then you cash in some points, even better. Okay things are looking better now. You can get picky and only do the ones you want to do. This is where I am now. I didn't think the Amazon gift certificates would work out but I let them accumulate and now I have enough to get 2 books that will help (I hope) with Mystery shopping. I also have $$ in paypal that has come in handy. I have done a few product tests and they are nice if you intend to use the product. We tested coffee for 2 weeks and I didn't have to buy coffee during that time so that was nice. Since nobody mentioned it....Can you change you email address and let only the legitmate companies know your new email? I use yahoo email because I don't want all this to clog up our home email. There's also other free email services (hotmail, gmail, aol, etc.) that you might consider. My husband has 5 (including work) all for different reasons. We are similar, same race, I am a few years older (July will be the BIG 40) and a stay home Mom, although I live in the suburbs. I think my ZIP sometimes disqualifies me. My husband is about to lose his job with the AT&T changeover so we are getting desperate for $$. The companies that I enjoy are: Pinecone, Opinion Outpost, ACOP, Baker Street, Brand Institute (Online Global Recruiting), PSB Surveys, NFO My Survey. These are all on Connie's list. I try to sign in (if possible) to the companies just to show I'm interested. I'm sure they can tell if you log on or not. I am doing all I can to learn about Mystery Shopping so that will be my next project, looks like you're already there! Good Luck! Hope this helps , Kim

ACK, I hope everthing works out with your hubbys new job search!! I thought about using my excite addy for this, but honestly, I dont have the energy to open another window! LOL, I am trying to streamline it as much as possible. I did use a second addy from my ISP. if and when I get tired o it all I just cancle that addy I have one for my differnt ebay accounts and then one just for family and friends. I was supprised about the mystery shopping. I think it will be fun, I am the type of person that expects good customer service all the time so I look for it anyway. (not in a snooty way, I have worked everywhere from dept stores to convience stores. ) I am with all of those company's you mentioned, except pinecone of course. chelle
