LOL! I didn't believe it at first, but they have started organizing a Coffee Party. Pretty much the same idea as the Tea Party, demanding accountability from the government. The Coffee Party seems to focus on different issues than the Tea Party, though. For example, where a main goal of the Tea Party is reducing the size of government, the Coffee Party works towards making government actually do their job. Frankly, I like both of the new parties. And, yeah, I know there are haters that will try to badmouth both groups, questioning how they are funded by or who they are controlled by, and whether or not they really are grassroots organizations, and blah blah blah... I think it's high time we quit letting the corporate media and the political parties play one side of the political 'spectrum' against the other. United We Stand should be more than a slogan. Traditional partisan politics are getting us nowhere fast. No one party has all the answers. Both parties have their share of crooks and both have their share of good guys. While they play tug of war in Washington, things get worse and worse. They can stall forever if people don't step up and put the pressure on them to actually get something done. I think it's time to wake up and smell the coffee. Or join me for tea. Either way, don't just sit there, get involved!
