This is going to sound very paranoid but, I'm curious if other online sellers have experienced this. I have sold on Amazon for a number of years. I bust my tail to ship quickly and carefully. If your not familiar with Amazon, Amazon sets the shipping amount the customer pays, not the individual seller. It seems like every few months (usually after my feedback starts getting good again), some person leaves me a negative saying - the shipping charge is too high, I will never buy from you again. These people never email me directly, they just leave feedback. Today's buyer said they were going to tell all their friends & on Facebook not to buy from me. The buyer flat out lied saying the shipping was $8.99. It was $4.99. I left a response to the feedback but the damage is done. I do email these people directly but never get a reply. This is sssooooo frustrating. I probably send out 95% of my packages the same day. I overload on popcorn, bubble wrap, tissue paper, etc. I list things where I can be "the low price". I go on the theory, make a smaller profit but have the inventory turn over quicker. When I think about a "2nd job", selling online like this is what really fits for my situation. eBay fees are so bad that I've concentrate almost exclusively on Amazon I just have a weird feeling that these are a setup by another seller(s) to knock me down a peg. Has anyone ever felt like this?

I've never sold on Amazon but I would bet that a lot of ebay sellers moved to Amazon when the fees got too high. I did experience this and saw it happen to others on Ebay as well. You aren't paranoid.
Many of the ebay sellers used shipping charges to "make their money". If you are selling honestly and cheaper than them.. yeah.. they could be targeting you. Just leave your comments and make sure you sound mature and not at their level and your buyers will see them and have trust in you.

Thanks for your reply. I know there isn't a whole heck of a lot I can do about it, just service each customer best I can. I just got another sale after that bad feedback was left so, on my way again!!! ;D

Ebay has got pretty bad and I have not tried Amazon expect as an affiliate. Besides your comments, does Amazon have any mediating function when an outright lie, like the shipping info, so they can leave an offical note stating the inaccuracies? Of course I use Triple Clicks to sell but its the new guy in town and might not be what you need. It sounds like you strive to do a good job giving good service, keep it up. More people know now that the rating systems used are not the only way to judge a seller. Hang in there.

Amazon doesn't get involved unless there is profanity, racial slurs, etc. So I am stuck BUT, after that bad fb, I had 4 more sales and a positive fb, nice granny would raved about getting her stuff quickly.
Feedback isn't hyped up like it is on eBay. A much lower % of buyers leave feedback so when you get a bad one, it really knocks your score down plus, the neutrals are figured in.
One thing, if you buy on Amazon & see a very low fb score, be sure to read the actual feedback. I saw a seller with 81% but I would still buy from him. He had wonderful fb comments but then, someone left bad fb because the trading cards (in sealed packages) where not the "good/high point" ones he was hoping for - absolutely nothing to do with the seller's performance.
I will continue to putz along with Amazon, they are a lot easier to list on than eBay. I will check into Triple Checks, I like finding new venues to sell in. I like eCrater. Your items show up in Google searches!. eCrater has no fees so its only a small % from Paypal or Google Checkout.
