Has anyone tried/played with the Zhu Zhu Hamsters? Apparently, TRU & WallyWorld can't keep them on the shelves. My DDs are too old for them (they'd rather fill their clothes closets) but we all thought the looked cute - I mean, you really can never go wrong with hamsters ;D. Funny, one DD commented they sounded like hamsters without the mess. Turns out that is part of their marketing - hamsters without the mess or death (not sure about their battery life though) www.zhuzhupets.com/main.htmlzSo, will this be the "hot" toy for Christmas?

I saw a ad for them on TV the other day. I thought they looked interesting. I'd still rather have the real thing though. Lol.

I remember when my DDs had real gerbils - really cute little things, especially after I'd (older DD did it once) clean the cage & put in fresh stuffing. You could watch them for an hour while they built their new home. One died after a couple of years but the second one (the nice one), live for 4+ years. He was very pampered What I don't miss - the nice one loved to escape. He probably sat & laughed #laughing-smiley-003# while we all crawled around on the floor looking for him. We knew he stayed close by cause every time he escaped, he chewed holes in the girls clothes. You know, those clothes that should have been hung up but DDs shoved them under the bed. Yes, in spite of it all, they are fond memories.

They look so cute! I don't like escaped rodents either, and I really don't smelly ones.. These are perfect!

Well you might be right! I noticed yesterday that Fred Meyer had them on sale for 7.99, in the store, the spot for the hamsters was empty and they had a sign up saying they are having problems getting them in.
