I have decided that my target weight loss is going to be 15 pounds. It doesn't sound like a lot, I suppose- by my jeans are tight, and a belly is now visible when I have my tighter shirts on. Also, I've developed ::gasp:: cottage cheese in places I've never been overweight before- mainly my rear. Now, I don't consider myself fat. I'm 5'10", and was told my target weight should be 150. But, I've got (sorry if this is TMI guys...) big boobs. I've always been a stick with big ol' boobies for my build. But still, I was always right around 150. People told me I was too skinny, though, but I never noticed. Now, though, the scales are reading anywhere between 165 and 180 clothed, depending on the scales (why can't they all be the same.... haha.) Mostly, it's my belly that bothers me. I've always had thighs (Jay says I've got a softball players build), so I've never really worn shorts, but I think by next summer I'd like to feel comfortable enough to do so. Dieting per say isn't really an option with my current living situation. I don't weigh myself weekly, but once we finally get into a house, and my scale comes out of a box, I probably will. Exercising a whole lot also isn't an option. I have very bad knees. I used to play a lot of sports, and injured one, didn't do anything about it, therefore straining the other one, and here I am, 23 and barely able to run. I'm fine on machines, weights and bikes and all that, but can't afford a gym membership. I really, really want a Wii, just for the Wii fit... I'm a gamer, and think that might actually hold my attention. I find it hard to get motivated when so many people around me nowadays are "bigger".
What I want to do, is take little steps that will help me both lose weight, and be healthier. I was hoping that you all would have some suggestions. I'm doing my hardest to cut back on my soda, and only drink diet when I do. My new thing is going to be no more food after dinner. That one's going to be REALLY hard for me right now, since here they eat dinner at 5, and I'm normally up until 11 or 12.
Any other suggestions? Or, simple excersize moves that help you all out? And help is appreciated... this is my first attempt ever at trying to lose weight.
