ok the problem here is only that they have this in writing! Even though they have said this is not what is happening and it has been debunked.
What do you believe they have been doing under Gates when they say they have been since 911 wayching the the internet/phone calls for "terrorists"? They have software programs that snoop on everybodies emails by the sensitve words (they get decide what those words are) etc. as an example. HelloPeople! they scanned everybody's eyeballs that were at the superbowl game a couple of years ago just to prove they could!! there have been so many movies/columns about this
They have your number already if you are on the web!! You dont have to go to this website do get your computer taken over if they want your stuff they can and will get it. If you get electricity(on the grid) and have phone service(GPS) plus the internet (cookies) youre tracked. How do you think they find folks out there!!
We have allowed this erosion of our first amendment rights by any politician who convinces us it is for our protection that clinton bush obama it has nothing to with parties IT IS CALLED POWER - who is in charge is not going to give that up and so it continues.

All right ladies, Now I am annoyed. When 9/11 occurred, citizens all over the country were screaming "How could the Government allow this to happen?". This were the some of the same citizens (ACLU creeps) that tied the hands of the Intelligence Community for years and years, allowing the United States to be vulnerable to all sorts of attacks (and it still is, but less so). The freedoms we enjoy are not free. Just go to any National Cemetery and look at the ordered rows of tombstones, marking the graves of those who gave all to protect our freedoms. Now that the threat of imminent danger has passed, people are complaining about the security measures put in place to prevent future terrorist attacks. WTH? The definition of insanity is doing something over and over again, expecting different results. So let's just drop all surveillance, and see what blows up next.

There is nothing wrong with the ACLU. It happened because no one listened to the FBI grunts on the ground warning about flying lessons. No one listened to the outgoing administrations warnings about the bad guys out there. The system in place was good enough if someone had just used it.
If we have to give up our rights in order to feel protected what could is priding ourself on being a nation of laws..
Those agencies tied thier own hands with turf wars. All the warnings were there and were ignored. Reports were never forwarded, it was a cluster, and the ACLU had nothing to do with that.
Right hard won need to be protected and the ACLU trys to do that. They don't always do it well or for nice people. They do do it because they believe in the rule of law, you know the Constitution of the United States.
And yes, I believe the Govenment can get most information they have to. So can just about any computer hacker with the desire.

Sorry their was some confusion. I don't always make myself clear. Again sorry for the confusion. weebitty

I agree with Louis, everyone wants to be free, yet they want someone to protect them. I personally feel I have nothing to fear. (hmmm.... my favorite saying- the only thing to fear is fear itsself..) I dont care if the Govt sits in my living room, if they ask my opinon, if they take my DNA- None of that bothers me. give me my 1st and 2nd amemendments and I'm fine. Now, will I register my guns? no. There is nothing 'terrorist' related that would require me to do so. I also wont get a permission slip to speak my opinion, or worship as I choose. I already have one, its a birth certificate stating I was born in the USA, as a free person to American Citizens, who were also free.
and personally, whatever the ACLU did in the past that might have been good, they have overserved their purpose and are a thorn in Americas side IMHO.
10 or 12 years ago I could find you on a computer in a matter of minutes, I could have your address, phone number, drivers licence, arrest record, credit report and a ton of other information, including your parents, kids etc.
That was a decade ago, and I worked as a civilian in a civilian office- doing skip tracing. If I had your name I could do it, hell your phone number would give me your name and the rest was easy as pie. If I didnt have any of that, your VIN number or plate number gave me that info, so being scared of eyes in the sky just doenst appeal to me.
