My favorite NFL team is the Purple People Eaters! One of my uncles was such a big fan, and NOTHING prevented him from watching his boys play! It was always so easy to buy him something for Christmas or his birthday, because it only needed a Viking a logo on it, and he was happy. His pride and joy was a football signed by the real Purple People Eaters: Carl Ellen, Guy Larsen, Jim Marshall (wrong way ) and Alan Page. He was such a big fan that he convinced others in my family to root for the Vikings, no matter where we lived. So although I was growing up in Seattle prior to 5th grade, I was a Vikings fan then and still am one now. I have learned that the tougher and opponent is, the better the Vikings play and visca-versa - unless it's the Super Bowl. At which point the Vikings will lose to Girl Scouts.

Good Topic! Prior to 1976 my favorite team was Miami-I have no idea why since we live about as far away from Miami as any teaming playing back then. I had a complete Miami outfit-coat, gloves and hat for winter-all bought from Sears. Now I am a Seattle Seahawk fan. Been follwoing them sinces they came into the league. The stolen Super Bowl lose to the evil Steelers is still bitter in my mouth! Louis, I can barely remember watching some of the Super Bowls that the Vikings played in back in the '70's. I was rooting for them to win too

I live in Kansas City so that makes my favorite football team the Kansas City Chiefs. We have a new coach and quarter back this year and we all are looking forward to having a good year. We play Minnesota next in a pre season game. Look forward to watching the game and seeing Brett F play. Was surprised he went with Minnesota.
Am not looking forward to seeing Vick play for the Eagles. What he did to the dogs he owned was so bad do not think he still should be playing professional football. Can not see giving the opportunity of making millions while playing pro football to a man who tortured and killed dogs.
Love football and can hardly wait to enjoy the games.
So exciting.
