No one has brought this up, but it has been all over the news for a couple of days now. Senator Nancy Pelosi says that she was never told that water boarding was used against captured suspected terrorists, even though she attended a Sept 2002 briefing in which interrogation techniques were discussed. Specifically, the techniques used in the interrogations of Abu Zubaydah and two others, where water boarding was repeatedly used. She says that the only thing mentioned was the legality of using water boarding as a technique in the future. Now other Democrats are saying the same thing, while Republicans refute it and state that water boarding was discussed openly as a tactic that was being used. The CIA is blocking the truth from coming out by stating that the 'notes to file', made by personnel doing the actual briefings, contain classified material. IMHO, this is a classic example of: "shutting the barn door after the horses got out" - Barack Obama in his first 100 days speech. So who and what did they know

They knew it all. Maybe they had one meeting for the Dems and another for the Reps..
You know how this all works.. what do YOU think the truth is?

One thing about Pelosi, she wants the investigation. This is going to bite some folks in the butt for sure. There is one ex Senator who has a reputation for the annal retentive notes he keeps that have already had the CIA saying their records were wrong.
But the questions are getting back wards. The Republican are all getting behind the Pelosi knew stuff, when just last month they were all saying "We don't and never did torture".
I wish Pres. Obama was not so against the inquiry, I don't know what he knows, but I think as a country we should all know how these actions came to take place. I think we can take the truth.
But I think the truth is; torture was used to get information, truthful or not to give cover for the war in Iraq.
