I am a somewhat disappointed but is it me or is it the fact that he has only been in office for just a little over two months. I do recall that it took former President Clinton some time to clean up the mess too.
I am concerned about the global energy bill too which means a huge loss to jobs here since companies will all move to other countries. He promised to create new jobs for us.
I am quite worried.

Personally, I think he is putting TOO much emphasis on energy. Yes we need to be greener but I think we have higher priorities that need addressed right now.

I think it is the first time someone in the government is trying to take the big view of things. The greening could very well be the ticket to the jobs that will get folks working and there by buying again. Banks will hopfully be lending for these green projects. So on and so on. Besides, if he doesn't go for it now there will most likely will never be the political will later to get it done. We are so screwed up with dirty energy and oil dependence, I don't think you can solve one problem without working on most of them. If not, those problems will just be waiting for us later. It has got me nervous how much he is taking on also, but I cann't fault the guy for attempting to get these needed things going now in hopes that they will also stimulate the money problems the country is experiencing. At least I have my fingers crossed.

The major problem I see is that there is no guarantee that any other countries will follow suit. So if other countries do not follow suit, it will be much cheaper for the multi-national companies to move their factories; creating jobs there and eliminate jobs here. Remember that multi-national companies are in the business of making money for their shareholders, and they have proven that they have no conscience on how they increase their profit margins.

That is just what I am concerned about. Also they have no conscience on how they increase their profit margins even it means putting people here out of jobs and on the streets. I know many liked President Clinton, but he signed NAFTA which moved a lot of jobs away from here and then the next president moved even a lot more jobs away from here. I am so worried if this current president can actually create jobs. I have hopes but please don't tell me I am wrong or I will worry to the brink.
