My favorite store bought ice cream is Breyers. Last week I went to buy some and they've downsized the "half gallon" size again! First they downsized from 2 to 1.75 quarts. That was bad enough. Now they're down to 1.5 quarts. The profile of the package looks the same, but when you pick up the carton you can immediately tell the box is way smaller. I am not putting up with this. I put the box back in the case and refused to buy it. I buy a LOT of ice cream, and I hate getting jerked around. I'm going to just make my own as much as possible and severely cut back on phony baloney Breyers.

Good for you,. I was talking to a friend about this "phenomenon" just a week ago.. They are doing it with everything.. tuna, chips, even pop... They are now pushing the bottom of the two liters up more so it holds less but looks the same!

I could have the wrong one but I think I read yesterday that they were closing plants and laying off too. Cereal has done the same thing, smaller packages, higher prices. I didn't see a dang thing go back down after the raising of prices to meet the higher energy costs after they went back down. I wont buy anything unless it's the lowest price it gets and then I stock up. I haven;t bought ice cream for that very reason in months. It's cheaper to make my own at home.
