I got something I never saw before. A company with the email address hr-resources@trigemmedia.com asked for my resume and stated that the job they were offering was: (and I quote)
Your job will be to visit a list of websites that we provide to you, observe the site and spend a few minutes looking at various pages of the website (i.e. clicking links and exploring the site as though an everyday user would. You may also be required to test other site functionality such as the sign up process and follow up process to make sure an end user would fully understand this. You will be required to interact with the site as an end user, i.e. fill in forms, submit comments etc. You will be required to spend around 5 minutes on each site and perform important actions which we will outline in detail for that particular site. etc etc. They quoted a hourly rate too.
Well, they sent me a 'test' where I would go to 4 websites, navigate them and enter information. First was a photo upload site (no problem) Two sites which offered auto insurance One site which offered a personal loan sent directly to my bank account (except I refused to enter my real bank account)
So dummy that I am, I filled out the information as requested, and within 10 minutes my email box and phone were flooded with offers of insurance and loan information.
Anyone else fall for this twisted way of getting unsuspecting folks just looking for a job to get spammed with offers for products they don't want?
