Yes, I believe that the child could load the weapon by himself. A child is a sponge and they are constantly learning, which is why one should be careful about what you do around them. A child who swears has learned it from somewhere, 9 times out of 10 at home. The babysitter has a good lawsuit against the parents. I think it's irresponsible for parents to have young children around weapons of any sort, and criminal negligence to have weapons where children can get to them.

My husband and I can shoot really well, both handgun and rifle/shotgun.
When we had children we decided that nothing that a gun could keep safe was worth the chance of what could happen to our kids if they got hold of one.
We would never let guns in the house. We did however talk about them a lot and told them exactly what we wanted them to do if they were in a house were they were brought out "to play". GET OUT.
When they were a bit older we had them taught how to handle firearms with the help of some hunter friends of ours.
Guns and kids do not mix. For the hunters that are about to beat me up. I have no problem with responsible hunters. I've tried it myself.
