Last yr at this time I weighed 160 & my size 12 jeans were very tight. Truthfully I was having trouble buttoning them and sitting was uncomfortable. I started watching what I ate. I even did the treadmill for almost 2 months. I lost 7 lbs.
I have managed to keep it off. Now that I'm busy working both jobs. I've done the Wii fit on & off. My size 12 jeans became looser. One day last month I tried on my size 10 jeans and guess what ? They fit ! Now all my size 10's are baggy in the legs and butt. I bought a pair of size 8 - 10 pull -on jeans from Walmart. ( only those are the right length for me since I'm only 5 ft) well these are LOOSE on me !
I currently weigh .....................
147 !
Yay Me !

Thank you so much Tara. Today I went and bought 2 pairs of size 9 skinny jeans ! I thought about celebrating w/ a Starbucks, but that defeats the purpose huh ?

Mine is no more munching. Which won't be a problem because I won't have time to munch. I do plan on using my ab wheel again.

Well, my wife and I are starting our diets today-again. It's a lot easier when we do it together and support each other. I weighed myself today for the first time in a long time and was at 218 pounds-yikes! I'm 6'2" tall, so I have a long frame to hang all that fat on but it still isn't good. I am going to limit myself to 2500 calories a day and work out every day on my days off-weights and aerobics. I've done this before so it shouldn't be a problem. I weigh myself once a week on Mondays to see how I'm doing. My goal is to get down to 200 pounds.

Good for you Jow32 ! You can do it. What also helped me is keeping a log of what I eat.
My breakfast and lunches are both under 500 calories. Today I'm having tea and a bagel. For lunch it's lean cuisine. I'm making chicken stri fry for dinner. All I drink is ice water and a vitamin water.
It'll be easier for you to lose weight than your wife. Be supportive of her !!

Oh yeah, the weight comes off me a lot easier than my wife. She really gets mad and discouraged. I tell her to only weigh in once a week but she wants to do it all the time. She built similar to you-5'2" and weighed in at 147 this morning. She wants to get down to 130-135. I tell her not to go below this because bones are for dogs! I am keeping a food journal too-my biggest problem is drinking beer and wine at night. I am going to start buying Michelob Ultra-95 calories per beer and if I watch what I eat I can a couple in the evening.

Heavenly,
Congratulations on the weight loss, that is awesome!!!! When my pants no longer fit me, I was told to get rid of them. And I did. I now have 2 pairs of jeans that fit perfectly and 2 pairs that need a belt. I hope to replace those soon with jeans that fit and then get rid of the ones that are too big. Yep, I had 3 sizes LOL.
