I signed up for YourSecretShopper.com which was listed on here about a week ago. When I looked back onto the forum it was gone. Are they legitimate? I figured it was taken off because they are a scam. I hope not because I have already done the work. I've been emailing admin but they won't respond.

Hey. I have worked for them for a few weeks now, and I have actually gotten my first payment, through pay pal. I enjoy it- it's easy and doesn't take very long.

Are you the one that posted it? After you send in the spreadsheets how long does it take before you get paid?I try to get in touch with someone and no one will respond to anything. It just raises a red flag for me because they can send work and they are only concerned about me getting the work done, but when I ask about my payment... NOTHING

Portia I removed the post because it looks to me to be an offer type site. I can't find ANY information saying otherwise or for sure.. that bothers me as well. They aren't listed with the MSPA.. The site was just created around 6 weeks ago.. Domain Name: YOURSECRETSHOPPER.COM Registrar: SCHLUND+PARTNER AG Whois Server: whois.schlund.info Referral URL: REGISTRAR.SCHLUND.INFO Name Server: NS375.HOSTGATOR.COM Name Server: NS376.HOSTGATOR.COM Status: ok Updated Date: 24-may-2008 Creation Date: 22-may-2008 Expiration Date: 22-may-2009 Just too many red flags for me. Since you have already signed up I will be interested to see what you think.

Connie- since I am a member, I'm interested to know- what do you mean by 'offer type site'?

Like a gpt site. They want you to complete offers and then pay you for doing so. They wouldn't be the first one to use the mystery shopping angle to do this. There was another site that I STILL get emails from claiming to have shops when it's really just a gpt deal.

Thank you- I haven't yet been asked to complete any offers- only request information from various companies- but I'll be sure to keep this in mind! -Cas

What kind of companies? Did they give you any training before offering assignments?

They even state it on the main page:
Get paid to shop at online stores Get paid to complete trial offers Get paid to get free samples Get paid to recieve free quotes

And from their FAQs: After registration, members are provided with the list of Mystery Shopping Jobs available. Upon completion of registration, members will click on the Shopping Jobs they would like to take up and will be led to the website of company providing that Mystery Shopping Job and you will be asked to sign up the trial offer
Im going to have to stand by my first assumption of this site.. I really think it will turn out to be just an offer site and not a legit mystery shopping company.

Wow. I think you are right Connie. I signed up for this place at the beginning of the month. I did 7 full pages of "offers" and I don't know why it didn't click in my head when I got a sheet of offers to fill out instead of shopping assignments. I also referred a few people to them and I am supposed to be getting a check (I signed up when they still had the check option available), but it has been almost 2 weeks since "payday" and I don't have it. Since I started emailing the guy asking when it should be here he hasn't responded - but he sure was quick to get those offers out to me! He had sent his phone number to me a while back and I tried a reverse look up on white pages and apparently the number doesn't exist. I also haven't been able to find their physical address anywhere (I thought it was posted on their website... but poof). I also find it interesting how new the website is. how do you look that up anyway?

I finally did get paid, but not as much as I promised, and not by paper check as promised. I didn't get paid until I finally had a friend let me use their paypal. I was supposed to get around $180 and got $115 instead - I am still awaiting a response 2 days later.
